THE EVOLUTION OF 9395

9395 is very good set for modding: optimal size for integrating PF-not too heavy+ nice old "skul" design,

1.First stage was to make it wagon and destroy towing functions.

2. Stage: making suspension

3.PF-ing model

Finding optimal chassis, suspension and drivetrain:

I like it -- the motorized Lego Technic 9395 looks like it can go on safari! You let your little boy play with it too, don't you?

Those 3rd-party tires sure help its crawling abilities. Since you used a differential in the rear and a solid axle in the front, do you think that same arrangement would help the 9398 4x4 Crawler?

My little boy prefer to play "hand of God" mode, not remote control :classic:

Sorry, Do not understand your question about differential and solid axle...

1) civil version of 9395 has two diffs at front and rear axles. Both axles are solid.

Rear diff is LSD using rubber cheat- it really helps

2) crawler version has no diffs, but both axles are also solid.

To Dluders and BasOne:

3rd party tires are from kids RC toy. Rubber is so-so, but protector is  much better than lego's tire.

I like your adaptation of the model, nice work!

tim

Thank you :classic:

Very nice Mods rm8. Won't it be great when TLG start making tyres like those. Did you have to glue them on?

Tyres dont need glue - fits very well.

I like this MOC, especially the red color version! Your son must be proud of a father like you!

Thank you. Yes, he prefer this MOC. 9398 isn't interesting for him :look:
