Spyrius is one of those 90s themes that nobody seems to remember, or at least not talk about much. Having aquired that really cool angled panel in TrBlue, I felt like using it, but I didn't want to do another Futuron/WRS ship again. So then I remembered my childhood, looking at the Spyrius sets in my catalogues. And here we are.

Clocking in at 71 studs long and 54 wide, it's a bit bigger than the WRS ship I took to STEAM. It's also a LOT tougher. This thing is seriously solid, thanks to a technic frame that is probably spaceworthy. You can see me really throwing this around in the video, (Click) and I feel totally safe doing so.

So, to conclude: SPACE! Enjoy, and check out the rest of the pics here. There's a fair few of them. Wanna see it in real life? There's a good chance this'll come to STEAM this October, so be there.

(Oh yeah, it's my 22nd birthday today. Here's to many more models!)

First, happy birthday.....second, what an AWESOME craft you have made there 'J4ke' ! :excited:

I'm trying to see the inspiration...a fusion of Starship Troopers and B-5....but I could be wrong ? :innocent:

Have a great day and Brick On 'J4ke' ! :excited:

I remember Spyrius, and I loved it along with Space Police II and Ice Planet. Ah, that were times of my childhood...

This ship is just amazing! And I can't not to notice that little fighter by the side. =3

Really nice! I too am impressed by the sturdiness of it. Only complaint would be that the rear wings seem a wee bit bland in comparison to the rest of the ship. Also wondering if the smaller fighter docks inside of the bigger ship anywhere?

This is pretty cool! Definitely like the use of the trans-dark-blue piece. Well done. :)

I am definitely Pro-Spyrius; I have at least one set of each Spryius kit, in many cases I have 2 of them. All the hate for Spyrius seems to stem from the fact that the colour scheme is so close to that of M-Tron. Oh well! I like Spyrius for the Robots and the hexagonal flying saucers. I have a few Spryius MOCs in the works, so expect pictures soon.

You're actually not alone in liking Spyrius - I myself did a review of the entire theme about a year ago, and it was frontpaged. People still remember the 90s!

That said, this model is BEAUTIFUL! I really enjoy the simplicity of the design, it definitely makes for a convincing battle cruiser. I'm loving it. I'd love to see an Ice Planet research vessel from you to compliment this dreadnaught... Also, happy 22nd!

Happy belated Birthday!

And what an awesome build to celebrate with it!

I was never the biggest Spyrius fan... but this may change my mind. Brilliant build, and hilarious video.

Well done ... again!

Though the ship seems to be lacking a bit of that slick smooth J4ke charm to it... still awesome though :)

Thanks all, for your comments on the ship and for the happy birthdays!

As for an IP2K ship, I have plans, but I make no promises. ;)
