Limiting Bricks in LDD

Hi guys I've been a long time lurker, popping in and out from time to time, but I've been very frustrated with the new LDD. There's just too many bricks to play with, I know that sounds weird but the limitations of the old LDD made building projects much easier. Especially considering now when Design by me has not be replaced.

Is there a way to download old versions or limit bricks to the pick-a-brick selection?

I guess I'm still mourning the incredible, if expensive, Pick-a-Brick service. Any news on a replacement service?

No, not that I know of. I have heard other people complaining about limiting the available bricks.

Personally I would already be happy if I could use a view to select the bricks in the colors I already used in the model.
