petero Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Hopefully I've posted in the correct forum. My apologies if I guessed wrong. I'm designing a building that uses this framework for the outside walls. My problem is that I end up with the half-plate-high gap. Is there a way around this problem? I definitely need the bowed shapes, but they could be adjusted to retain the same basic outline. LDD file Here is the shape I'm trying to recreate: Thanks for your help! Peter Quote
Superkalle Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Aha...a design challenge - who can resist that Here's two proposals. The foreground one is similar to what you had, just shifted the brown bracket up In the background one I used 1x1 brick with stud on the side. Quote
petero Posted July 22, 2012 Author Posted July 22, 2012 Thanks for the great solutions, Superkalle! I'll try both and see which I like better. I'll be sure to post the finished MOC. Peter Quote

Lego Otaku Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Headlight brick also works for half plate offset gap solution LXF Quote
petero Posted July 23, 2012 Author Posted July 23, 2012 Thanks, Lego Otaku. I'll keep that in mind for future projects. Peter Quote
Multiverse Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 @Superkalle and Lego Otaku - Those are great solutions, and highly inspiring ones as well. =) I thought I'd leave a note of how beatiful a question I think this is - mathematical, geometric and creative. Pretty much the essence of Lego, right? =) Quote
