Hi all,

Over the last couple of weeks I have been working on the below MOC, well it's actually a half MOC as I have used some buildings from sets and built around it (is there an "official" term for this?). I have also used a couple techniques I found on Eurobricks so thanks for the help!

Please have a look and any comments/feedback would be much appreciated!

I have only uploaded a few pics on here, if you would like to see the rest of them please have a look at my Flickr a/c

Cheers

Sparhawke

You basically built a landscape, I don't know if there's a term for that.. Nonetheless, it's a great looking layout. The bridge and path is nice. The trees are well built. I like the bamboo leaves along the rivers edge, adds a nice look to the grass. Great little display incorporating those sets.

This looks pretty good! I would add some tiles or some 1x1 plates to the square, just using large gray plates doesn't look that good. The landscape looks really nice, the greens are placed at a nice distance. I would work on the water most of all - just tiles? Add some trans-studs and some ripples. Water isn't that flat.

This is a very impressive display. I like the way you have taken official sets such as the the Kingdoms castle, MMV and MVR and placed them on an detailed and intricately designed landscape. In some ways I think the Kingdoms caste works better as a wall and entrance than as an enclosed castle.

That's your first MOC? Wow, what a great start! :sweet: Especially love the plants along the river banks, makes it look a lot more realistic!

Nice layout, I think you did very well on the landscaping. It might be good if the water was a consistent tiles/plates for the moat and river. The bridge looks very nicely done, I'm guessing you followed Derfel's guide. Keep up the good work.
