I like how one can build strong, 3-dimensional frames with those pieces:

Exactly, but I have so far only made two designs, witch I didn't recorde as they where mere technical demostrations for myself. And beside I recall to have seen far better design´somewhere on the web(problely youtube or brickshelf, as I sometimes just browses those sites randomly).

Hi, I have got my self a bounce of Liftarm 5 x 7 Open Center Thick (squar shaped) and Liftarm 5 x 11 Open Center Frame Thick (h-shaped) of BL(Bricklink).

And I recall that I have seen plenty of structures mostly build from those to pieces, towers, closed boxes and few other oddly shaped forms. But what about starting a thread about general principles of build with those two bricks. And rules should be that the form/layout/structur should could be repeated infinitly. Also it permit to use a long lift arms(studded or studdless). But show your designs.

I have built a couple of Erik Leppen's cars in which he uses those parts very extensively. You may want to check them out.

Tkx, those are interesting ways of using if you are building a car framework. But I am interest design like guy who made the really big nxt wall-e, he showed off his walle robot at legoworld 2012 copenhagen. But I don't renember the pattern he used...
