Hi all,

Been lurking here for a few months now and felt it was time to come out. My name is Brendan(35) and my son Brad(7) and we live in a small country town of Grafton NSW Australia.

I remember playing with Lego for hours and even days as a young fella but then I guess I grew out of them and never really looked at them again until we purchased my sons first Lego city set (Police Command Centre 7743) at age 3 of course. The collection has grown quite steadily since then and Brad now has a large City collection. We also like the Creator series with a few of these on the shelves too.

But now I've found Technic again and I'm loving them. Like many others we building up the A model have a play for a few weeks then the B models another play for a weeks then it stripped down for parts for our MOCS. My son is gaining lots of knowledge on how things work and connect which is really great I think for his education.

Anyway enough from me, looking forward to asking lots of question and hopefully posting some pics of our MOCS.

Cheers

Aussie BJ

Kids are a great excuse to start building with LEGO again.

Welcome to Eurobrick! I'm 19 and have a brother that's 6 so you better believe I use the little guy to help me walk into ToysRus and Target for LEGOs!

On a side note:Tazmaniac your avatar looks hilarious :roflmao:

Thanks for the welcome.

Yes having a 7yo who loves his Lego does give me a great excuse to build MOCS and sets and also buy more sets. It's all good quality time together and he is starting to come up with his own ideas which is great.

Agree with you on that one Spider-man.

I'll have to come up with one I suppose. Looks like they have to be small though?

Welcome mate! I was surprised at how many other Aussies are here too!

And I agree with what others have said, having kids is a fantastic excuse for buying and building with Lego :-)

Thanks again for the welcome/s

My main reason for joining this forum is it's busy with something new everyday (unlike the Australian forums, sad but we just don't have the population I guess.). As a bonus there seems to be plenty of Australians around which should help finding a few local bargains, shows etc.
