Lego_Hero Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Okay, so there is no Olympian theme... yet. This is Pan, god of nature and chasing nymphs (sorry, my Greek mythology is rusty). I'd love to do a group of Greek customs. I'll have to scrounge up some togas! The first thing I thought when I saw the series seven mermaid king was that the crown would make great horns, so I bought an extra and went to work. I did the rough work with a box cutter blade (my weapon of choice) and filed it for detail. A little acrylic paint later and I had a shaggy mane with goat horns! The belly is from the sumo wrestler and the legs are from the minotaur. Thank you, CMF series! Any comments would be appreciated. Quote
Jimbobulus Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) Looks good, like the horns Only thing I would say is I always imagined Pan to look a little less rough- the scar on his cheek and the stubble make this Pan dangerous, but then I don't know too much about Pan, maybe you've got his essence right there! Good job Edited July 14, 2012 by Jimbobulus Quote

Good job I chose that head to exemplify the wild aspect of his nature, but you're right, for a god he does look a little rough. If I do a group pic, I'll change out his head. Thanks for the comment. Emperor Krulos Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Love the Pan and his flute. Is that a hacked grill? Very clever use of the ocean king headpiece. I have to agree with Jimbobulus the face doesn't fit quite well for PAN. Now if he was a satyr seeker for Camp Halfblood (Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan) it would be a 100% fit. Quote
Nightshroud99 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 He doesn't look quite sex-crazed enough. The face seems a bit too light-hearted. Still, a nice job. Quote
Lego_Hero Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 Yeah, definitely better off a Satyr. The flute is indeed a hacked grill. From the proper angle camera magic makes it look like a complete flute. From any other angle you can see space between each reed. Still, its as close as I could get. Quote
natelite Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 A great custom. Hardly can tell its a custom. Quote
Darkdragon Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Excellent work on customizing that headgear. It looks perfect. Quote
