Lothos Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) Day 37, Arizona, I think, Dr Myles Drake, I've been traveling since the start of spring, I haven't really seen much of anyone, but then again, I decided to take an older road, Route 66, I heard you can get your kicks on it. I haven't seen much of anyone, which worries me, things are abandoned, nothing anywhere, plenty of supplies though, thank god. The bike is good on gas, I'll say that much. I found a digital recorder yesterday. Today I managed to find shelter an in old shed. Had some water in it, a tool box, it was a relief, I was able to adjust the bike a bit, not to much though. I might have to ditch some of my gear, or find a car. It's just too much. Night falling soon, I'm still heading north east, I hear Flagstaff has some people left, maybe I'll find the wife and kids there. Maybe I won't. I'll stick to Route 66, at one point there was a service station every 50 miles, maybe I'll get lucky. I've got plenty of gas in the bike so I'm not worried about that. Food's running low though, water too. Maybe a week left if I eat sparringly and ration my water. Edited July 22, 2012 by Si-MOCs Resized images. Quote
Lothos Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 Day 40: It's been a few days since my last entry, once I got a couple of miles into Arizona, I hit pay dirt, big time. Still no people, but an old junk yard. I also found a welding kit, it was too bulky to take with me but I managed to weld an already seperated side car to my bike, at the junkyard they had an old vending machine, it was full of bottled water! Safe water I might add too, I broke that sucker open lickity split and stocked up on water. . A quick tire change, and some other slight modifications, and my new bike was ready. Shes steadier, that's for damn sure. I should be hitting a city in a couple of days, my gas will last 2 days, Quote
Lothos Posted July 17, 2012 Author Posted July 17, 2012 Day 41, People! Finally, I can see them in the distance! Day 41, continued, Crap. People. So, I rode up on some folks, three of them, scum's a description of them. One had some dynamite, yes, dynamite, I didn't think it would be wise to tell him that if he did light and throw it, everything in our little area would be destroyed, I got off my bike, as they ordered, and I waited for my fate, but I hear something off in the distance, an engine? Turning this off now, I hope to christ they don't kill me, my wife and family aren't that far...I hope. Quote

Lothos Posted July 17, 2012 Author Posted July 17, 2012 Ok i wanna know what happend to day 1 through 39 Nice little dio though. Posted part one a couple of days ago, starts on day 37 ;) Quote
Si-MOCs Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 What? not comments? shame. Nice little build and solid back story to go with it. I don't know how you were able to get all that gear on that bike, but you did a good job without making it look two "stuck on" Intentional or not, I liked the railing? or whatever the whole moc is sitting on, it adds an interesting take to it. Though in future please make sure your images are 800x600 or smaller (I have resized them for you) as per Member Guidelines Quote
Si-MOCs Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Where's his tape recorder to be recording his log? BTW did you make that cape he's wearing? it's nice! Oh you might also want to link the stories together so people can easily read through them (assuming you're doing more :) And I think I liked your previous backdrop more... this one is ... well it's a desk Quote
Lothos Posted July 22, 2012 Author Posted July 22, 2012 Hey desks are a time..yeah it's a desk. Tape recorder's in his side car :D The trench coat came from a guy in Australia. And thanks for taking a look, I plan on doing more, I'm just trying to make the third part, as it were, fit. I've had the story mapped out on paper for awhile, I just need to make the creation match with the storyline. But thanks for taking a look and enjoying what you see. Quote
HawkLord Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 That looks great, man. The bike does look like it's carrying alot - I'm sure there are some tough choices ahead for Dr. Drake. I might suggest making the road and/or the rail look alittle more damaged depending on the nature of how the world became post-apocolyptic. Though maybe you can reveal that in future set scenes. DraikNova Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Nice MOC, but what caused the Apocalypse? What happened? Quote
Lothos Posted July 23, 2012 Author Posted July 23, 2012 The following is a narrative in the mind of Dr. Drake: The engine revved one last time, and it came up and almost over the box car, within seconds, chaos erupted, the two men on the ground beat feet, I made a jump for behind my side car, at least then I could probably reach my cross bow, little good it would do, but it beats standing in the open like a moron with nothing but a jacket. The truck, I guess I'll call it that, came up, stopped and a man leaped out, rolling across the hood, grabbing part of the grill, swinging around, and fired off two shots before I even knew what happened. When I peaked my head over the end of the sidecar, the highwayman was dead, and the man doing the killing sat atop the boxcar, looking for something. Not sure what. Quote
Lothos Posted July 24, 2012 Author Posted July 24, 2012 (edited) Stranger: Well howdy there pard, you alright? Dr. Drake: I-I guess so? At this point Myles began checking himself for holes or other harm. Stranger: Pretty sure I didn't wing ya, I was aimin' for this hear knuckle dragger. The stranger pointed at the man on the ground, two holes in his head, one for each eye. Stranger: Ya'll can come out, I ain't gonna shoot you any time soon, unless you're crazy, and wanna eatme. Maybe just the crazy bit cause that other bit goes with the crazy automatically, and well I'd rather not bother gettin' attached an' all. Dr. Drake: Who the hell are you? Stranger: To the point, good idear, well M'name isn't that much on my mind, got me a number though, 56780, now I ain't no damn prisoner, I was in the military. Dr Drake: Sure..not a prisoner, last time I checked the militaty still let you keep your name. 56780: Well son, when was the last time you checked? Dr Drake: ...Uhh.. well.. 56780: Thought as much. Son what year is it? Dr Drake: Don't be crazy it's 2018. Well counting the time we were all under ground, 2025, best guess. 56780: Oh lord. I really wish I wasn't the one to have ta..Look ya like beer? Cause I got beer back at my cabin. Little place got some woods surrounding me. Part of the "Let it grow zone." Dr Drake: ..Tell me what. What year is it? 56780:Balls, you freezer folks always.. right it's 2125. Damn it. I hate it when they faint. Edited July 24, 2012 by Lothos Quote

The Blue Brick Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 This is great. I especially love the figure for some odd reason. I think it's the coat though. Also, what set were the brown fences in? I don't think I have seen those before. Quote
