Faefrost Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 there is ONE time (Batman and Robin doesnt count) that Freeze doesnt wear goggles. It was in the New Batman Adventures Cartoon http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/69/Freeze-tnba.png I could be wrong on this, it's been so many years, but I vaguely remember that he didn't wear goggles in his first appearances. The 1960's Adam West TV show. I think he was just heavy silver stage makeup inside a fishbowl. Quote
Captain Nemo Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I like the size of the tumbler actually. It's when you get too large of vehicles like the batmobile where it starts to look weird.. And I actually prefer the newer Freeze head to the old. I must be the only one that doesn't care about the goggles. I too like the size of Lego's Tumbler. It does seem a few studs short, and maybe two would make it far closer to scale size, but I like how it's in scale (For the most part) with the other DC vehicles released--at least compared to like Two-Face's trucks (s), and the new Arkham van. However, I like most people, don't like the new Freeze--although adding goggles would not help my opinion much. So far, for me, I don't like really any of the "new" villains in the second DC wave, with Scarecrow and Penguin far at the bottom of the list. Personally, I like the more Batman Animated approach that was with Batman 1. Quote
Bobstapwns Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I don't know if this has been posted yet but the date for Arkham online has been changed again to Dec. 27th. Just a day before my birthday. :3 Will it also be in stores that day or just online? I know, that's a pointless question, but I just would like to know so when I know whether I should order it off LEGO's Shop website or if I can go to the LEGO store that day to buy it. Quote
just2good Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I don't know if this has been posted yet but the date for Arkham online has been changed again to Dec. 27th. Just a day before my birthday. :3 Two days before mine! I might actually get it now! Quote
DJ Bricks Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I like the DKR set, I get where the hate is coming from. But the tumbler is accurate size wise to a minifig. The blue on the BAT makes it look high tech, of course because of the price and piece count, some accuracy details were compromised. I like they tried to make a dark thing like the Dark Knight trilogy comic bookie and kid friendly. The freeze figure is good, could be better on the face. Quote
Bobstapwns Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Two days before mine! I might actually get it now! It works out for both of us because we can actually get it for our birthday on our birthday. :P Quote
JamesBenjamin Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 (edited) So I found a T-shirt in a box today at Barnes & Noble with all the Batman figs from this year in it (it has the ones from the forthcoming Asylum set) but I don't recognice what I presume is Killer Croc? (the greed lizardy guy on the second row). Any idea if this is from a future set or if maybe they just needed to fill the space with a guy from the video game (I'm assuming?)... EDIT: Ok, i'm not sure why its sideways and it made me do a small version, but I can email the full size pic to anyone who wants a better look (or has a host). Just PM me your email address... Kez Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 ^ Those are all of the old versions of the figures on that image from the 1st Batman series unless you're on about another image Quote
JamesBenjamin Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Ah, well that explains why I didn't recognize them (I wasn't around then). Carry on, people. Quote
LMB10 Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 (edited) EDIT: Beat to it! The new sets look good. Hoping to get some of them soon. Edited December 20, 2012 by LMB10 Quote
Bobstapwns Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Is 10937 going to be out in stores Dec. 27th or just online that day? Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 That's a nice T-shirt, was it only available in red? Quote
Pumpkin Pie Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 ^ As far as I know it's only in red. It's a great shirt though! Quote
YangHao6998 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) I really hope there is another TDKR set that comes with the Man of Steel wave which has Catwoman with the batpod and Talia Al Ghul with the truck which contains the bomb Edited December 21, 2012 by YangHao6998 Quote
TheLegoDr Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 While that would be awesome, I don't see it happening. They will continue to focus on what is hot in customer's minds. Quote
Sam892 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Well the new Spider-man sets are timed well considering, Marvel announced the release date of Ultimate Spider-man Season 2. January 21st which is just two weeks after the new sets. The premiere is meant to have the Lizard and Electro as the villains, with Wolverine helping out. So I guess we can look forward to getting them as figs the following year. Are the Superhero sets on S@H yet? If not I'm really suprised last year I think they were all up by December 15th? Quote
The Joker1 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Horray I got my freeze set today. I purchased it from very UK and It was sold out almost immediately. I saw the Bugle and the Bat/Tumbler sets but they were already sold out. I'm not sure of the real release date here in the UK but I beleive Very just had a timing error and they shouldnt be released. The 1960's Adam West TV show. I think he was just heavy silver stage makeup inside a fishbowl. You are right...... Now on the Bane's tumbler....size would be to do with price point.....hence why only the three figures in the set and no Catwoman. Quote

I don't think so, just Arkham. Sweet about Spidey season two. I would like a Lego of The Lizard, using the CMF Lizard suit tail, and a new Chima type head. I wanna see how the do Lizard as the changed Conners and he not a biologist. Electro would be awesome too, though he would need a new helmet, not just printed. As I saw, the TV spot teaser had his iconic green and yellow outfit. Quote
Solscud007 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I got the Batman vs Bane DKR set. Perhaps this is wishful thinking but the Bat has a second seat. I'm hoping that next year, perhaps fall or winter they might make a DKR catwoman and bat pod? That way you get the bat pod and a catwoman to put in the Bat. Quote
Pumpkin Pie Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I doubt that we'll get another TDKR set. Quote
Solscud007 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I doubt that we'll get another TDKR set. That is unfortunate. But I wonder why they designed the bat to have a spare seat? Quote
Jackattack7 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 That is unfortunate. But I wonder why they designed the bat to have a spare seat? To rescue Commish Gordon. Quote
GuntherThePenguin Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Yeah I doubt that there will be anymore DKR sets. In Legos mind, the 'market' for those sets has passed by now. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Yeah, I think the Bat and tumbler is all we gonna get. Also the London Toy Fair is Jan 22- 24, so we'll know bout IM3 and MoS sets then. Quote
