Tauntaunwampa Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Oh, well thanks, I hope it still looks cool. Now I just can't wait to see pictures. Yeah, I think its going to be a great looking set, without a doubt i think there will be flick fire missiles :( . Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 That's like saying without a doubt this cow will produce milk! . I mean Batman should know that launching a missile at an enemy would kill them which goes against his rule . What can you do. I really hope to see Iron Man 3 sets next year if the Mandarin is in it . Iron Patriot and War Machine would also be extremely welcome in my collection Quote
______ Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I mean Batman should know that launching a missile at an enemy would kill them which goes against his rule . You make a very good point there. I'm seriously happy that we'll get Venom in a £11.99 or £20 set. I can't wait to see what next year's equivalent of "Joker's Funhouse" we will get. Surely it's Marvel's turn for a secret set. Quote
just2good Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I certainly think that Lego will increase the amount of sets and the amount of waves per year. This on theme seems to be the equivalent of 20 themes. It's a bit frustrating to see certain sub themes pushed out so that all movies and TV shows can take there place. Since the theme seems to be really popular, I think LEGO will push out more sets next year than some of the other themes (it could have more than 2 waves, like Ninjago). And about X-Men, I really think we will see 1 special edition set next summer so TLG can cash in on the hype of the new movie without having the license. Quote
Faefrost Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 , I can't imagine how Lego would operate if they gained the rights to every Marvel Character. Lego has the rights to every character Marvel has ever created. The only things they do not have the rights to are some of the specific versions presented in non Marvel produced movies. So they can't make sets based on the specific scenes or costumes from Sony's Spiderman movies, or Fox's X Men, Fantastic Four or Daredevil and Electra movies. They do attempt to match their set set and minifig selection to synergistically leverage any current movie or tv properties as that is what kids want to buy at that time. ( case in point Avengers opening weekend the only Lego Super Hero set that could still be found anywhere was the Wolverine one.) so at a handful of Marvel and Dc sets each per wave we will probably continue to see things focused on what is in theaters or on tv. At the moment Lego only has the rights to the Marvel cinematic universe, X-men comics and Ultimate Spider-man. They dont have the rights to any other Marvel lines. They do however have the rights to every DC character. Quote

CommishGordon Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 As I am certianly excited for the new DC Super Heroes sets, I am also anxious for a Commissioner Gordon minifigure. He is one of my favorite characters! Hulk_Smash, can you tell me if he was wearing the SWAT outfit or something more Gordon-like, and what was his role in the Bat v. Tumbler set? Seems a little out of place if there isn't anything for him to do (unless he's being rescued!). Thank you! And, I'm looking forward to the new Mr. Freeze figure - I think he looks great! Quote

Gordon was in his SWAT outfit, and as far as I can remember he was standing on the pavement, with either a gun or a walkie talkie. Quote
fatfrog2596 Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Thanks for all the info Hulk_Smash! Really can't wait for the Bat and Tumblr The Batboat and Spiderman Chase are must buys as well Quote

Did you see any other figures in the DKR set other than the 3 that were revealed? Maybe like: Talia al-Ghul? Quote
halomaster96 Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I only remember seeing Gordon. Then I can still hope that she's in the Tumbler with Bane, and maybe Catwoman with Batman in the Bat. Quote

halomaster96 Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I hope we get catwomn with batpod I do too but it would probably be like the batcycle in the funhouse, or even that thing with Harley Quinn's truck. Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I do too but it would probably be like the batcycle in the funhouse, or even that thing with Harley Quinn's truck. didn't the last tumbler come with a proper batpod? they could include that. Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 (edited) didn't the last tumbler come with a proper batpod? they could include that. No, it didn't. There was something similar in another set though. I'd doubt that at only 35 pounds, though the way you are describing it (which I have to keep adding salt to) makes me think it's going to cost more. Ceroknight Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Would a Batpod be too big for a polybag....? Quote
fatfrog2596 Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Would a Batpod be too big for a polybag....? A to-scale Batpod would more likely be a $14 set wouldn't it? Quote
halomaster96 Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 A to-scale Batpod would more likely be a $14 set wouldn't it? Maybe we could get a small set with Catwoman, the Batpod and a couple of mercenaries and/or cops? Quote
Ceroknight Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 A to-scale Batpod would more likely be a $14 set wouldn't it? We almost never get exact 'to-scale' vehicles Also, judging from these MOCs, it will only take ~30 pieces, a resonable amount for a polybag BaraSH's http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=72763 fierceharbor's http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=73140 Piotr's (More than 30, but I doubt we would get such a detailed one if we get one) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=72640 Quote
