ticktockclock Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Hey everyone. I just recently got back into Lego (it's been since my childhood) so I've been lurking as a guest for a few months. I found LDD the other day and I've been messing around a bit. I wanted to make a full-size lightsaber, but didn't really have the skill to make a replica. So I decided to make my own! It was pretty easy and I plan on making some others, but I was wondering if anyone else has built full-size lightsabers and might be able to offer some tips/tricks or useful pieces. Anyways, thanks for looking. Quote
DFOL Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 First of all a warm welcome to Eurobricks! I hope you won't be disappointed to learn you are not the first person to come up with this idea. People have been making lightsaber hilts out of LEGO in all shapes and sizes, and as you can see in this post some of the creations have been presented on Cuusoo. Your design is pretty nice though! I don't think i have seen a hilt before with a transparant piece with the inner workings showing underneath, i particularly like that part of your creation. Quote
Mr Man Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I like the clear part, it reminds me of Starkillers lightsabres from TFU, where you could see the colours swirling around under it. Quote
