Hey All!

I have been recently getting back into MOCing....and since i have a horrendous amount of blue chairs.....a Cineam seemed the best step forward.

The pictures below are obviously a work in progress. I still don't know if i plan on expanding the cinema or changing it up a little.

I can tell you that next to the cinema, I will be building some form of fast food outlet/sit in restaurant.

But enough about plans, let's look at pictures

This is Theatre 1. It is located behind the box office. All the Theatre's feature stadium seating. No Minifig won't be able to see!

This is Theatre 2. It looks toward the other theatre, and offers the same seat count.

This is the front of the Cinema. The double doors lead into the foyer. Behind the grey window, will be the location of the refreshments zone. The green shutters are the box office windows where Minifigs will buy their tickets, at the box office.

This is an overall view. You can see the two theatre's at the back, the foyer with refreshment area on the left. There is also the box office at the front right.

At this point, i think i might add on a 3rd, larger theatre to the back right, and put the fast food place in front of it.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated and will be considered.

That's a good start "WideWiiLover". I like that you integrated two theatres and are already thinking about adding another one. All MOCs of cinemas I've seen so far only had one!

May I suggest that you add some more details to the facade of your cinema? I'm sure there's more to come with the following floors, yet it seems a little too plain by itself.

Update time!

So here is what i have now

This is a front profile. I have built up the facade a little more, thus letting in more natural light on the foyer. You can see i am done tiling the front, and have added some railing to symbolize the queuing going on at the box office

This is the inside. Here we have the foyer. You can see theatre 2 on the left, and the refreshments counter on the right. The blue box across from this is the ATM.

The white podium is portable and can be placed at a theatre door to take tickets.

Here's a hallway shot, you can see the whole way down to theatre 1.

This is the box office, fitted out with computers, desks, ticket machines (red boxes) and the obligatory safe.

To finish off here is a lovely shot from a mini fig perspective.

Here's an idea for your Cinema so far...

Since your screens are only 2x thick white bricks, take some 1x2 jumper plates to make a 1x thick wall as the screen (for the 2 sides)... and then either cut out some magazine images... or if you're a LEGO purist, take some old LEGO boxes that you were going to throw away, and cut out 2 images to fit either side of the screens, and voila!! Not only do you have a Cinema, but also some images on the screens.

Or, you don't have to use jumper plates to "intent" the screens on either side... and just... with 2 sided tape, or tape that has been made into a circular loop (with the sticky part outside)... affix the images to the screens.
