RunnersDad Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) B-RV-15D Here is my first attempt at a modular home. The top level and roof can be removed for playability and access. I am pretty pleased with my first try and may make some changes like tiling the first floor and tiling beyond the gate into the backyard. Roof sits flush but not in the pic.. 4f42723f Fountain and front door and gate.. ce4e8707 53b0147a Interior.. 97ea8cc9 376bde83 5798b8c4 078e1b8d Thanks for looking. Bricktooth Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Are you entering this in the Modular Madness contest? Quote
prateek Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 I wouldn't really consider this as a modular, but it is a very nice house. The blue is an odd colour, but it makes the house very unique. Nice interior too Quote
Bammboso Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Very interesting choice of color, gives your house a very extravagant appearance. That bright yellow/blue combination is a little aggressive but I guess there are people out there who'll love it Although you mostly used basic techniques, you added some nice little details. I especially like the plant on the balcony and the usage of cheese plates as door window is very good! Thanks for sharing this. Quote
Vindicare Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 The interior is awfully bright, but the exterior is great. I really like the use of that slotted 1x2 for the walls. All the other details, like the fence and water fountain. Great job. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Nice house, interesting colours and again another house with out a bathroom or toilet....drops the price of it when it goes on the market ! Good work 'RunnersDad' and Brick On ! Quote
SDH Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Love the speakers. I would definitely tile the ground floor once you get a chance, I'd also add a couple 1x2 plates leading to the front door (if they'll fit). Looks nice, brick on! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Neat house, lots of nice details like the lawn chairs, grill, flower garden, and stereo with speakers inside Good work Quote

RunnersDad Posted July 11, 2012 Author Posted July 11, 2012 Thanks for the comments and critiques. I have a long way to go in terms of MOC'ing is concerned but I think I have a good start. Sorry about the picture size. Quote
