DoubleT Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 All, I apologize for coming anywhere close to this subject again, but I felt it was important to share the official statement from our Corporate Communications group regarding the Maersk ship. I think the statement is pretty clear, so I Quote
jonfett Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 Oh great, another chance to get this set (which I never got last year). But another set means more money.. somehow :/ Jon. Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 Same for me, i didnt get it last year, this just means more money that i already dont have. Quote
Orlego Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 I wonder if the US will get a chance to purchace this set. I would love to get one but as far as I know it has never been offered in the US. BTW... Does anyone have a copy of the MAERSK truck that they are willing to sell? Thanks, Orlego Quote
medib Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 I got 4 (ships) and I'm from North America. I don't know the breakdown of what shops got what, but I know for about 2 months, the Maersk ship was available in both the European and North American Shops. I only have 1 Maersk Truck and it is staying MISB (for the time being). It is from the 2nd run, which the stickers say, "Maersk Sealand". I would like a truck from the 1st run, which the stickers say "Maersk" on it. I don't know if I'll buy any of them from 2005 run, maybe 1 or 2, but I'll have to see how much moolah I have when they become available for North America, if they get another batch. Ben M. Quote
Orlego Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 I what store did you find them medib? Were they at the Lego retail stores? *satis* Quote
recon Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 OK........... I put 20 some of these ships away for my kids college fund..........now the bottom falls out. Just my luck. Funny, a large corperation approached me just before Christmas with an offer to buy all of them, should have jumped on it. And yes, they were available in the USA where I am. Recon Quote

jonfett Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Which is also like the old Millenium Falcon.. before the new one came out they were selling for Quote
recon Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I'm sure one day the ships will increase in value. One disadvatage with that set was that it was never put in a catalog. If more people knew it exists, there would be greater demand. When I was trying to unload some of them(I originally had 35) everyone was asking if it was an original creation or a real Lego set. It is a pretty cool set to display, and I am a big ship fan. I'll hold onto these and see where it goes. It's funny, I looked at recent auctions for 7190's and they are selling for as little as $75ish but still sealed seem to average $150. Jer P.S. Wonder if they are rereleasing the semi too????? Quote
