Hello everyone,

I'd like to present you my very first MOC. I actually planned on building a castle, but wasn't satisfied at all with the way it turned out. In order to still be able to show you something I decided to create a little scene with the landscape-part of my MOC I was left with after disassembling the castle.

It's the first time I started building again after several years - hope you still like it though

Here you go:

Overall view - note that I took two trees off of medieval market village

This poor lady's being persecuted by some villains. Will she be rescued?

That stone might be her savior!?

Help's on the way

Nothing's going to ruin his glorious moment!

Here you can see the place where I wanted to locate the castle:

Well, as you can see I still need some improvement on my building techniques. I'll probably start by doing some smaller MOCs in the near future as I slowly lost my patience with this one

Now shoot me with your comments and criticism :classic:

Cheers

I would be proud of this as a first large MOC. There are some very nice small details to bring the whole scene to life. So what if the castle didn't go to plan....If at first you don't succeed....etc,etc

Thank you for your kind words!

great landscaping, looking forward to seeing this castle!

There won't be any castle, unfortunately. I already disassembled the one I built because I didn't like it. I'm definitely gonna built a castle someday, but not as part of this MOC.

Great lanscape. :sweet: All that greenery on the floor of your forest (or whatever you were planning to make it) looks excellent.

This is a nice landscape with a story in the back. I like it and you should definitely try building the castle. I speak from experience, sometimes months are needed to finish a model, specifically of greater size. Trying first smaller MOCs and then moving upwards to a greater scale would be helpful.

Very cool take on the damsel in distress. I think the build does a very good job of telling a whole story, which is the most impressive part of really good MOC vignettes.

Thank you for all of your nice comments

I'd been building this MOC for a couple of weeks. The landscape part only took about three day though. It was the castle I had problems with so I eventually stopped.

I'm definitely going to continue with smaller MOCs first. That'll be a whole lot easier I guess.
