Axis600 Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 The piece in question is the helmet on this minifig. I'm pretty sure it's custom, but where is it from? And is it still sold? Quote
purpleparadox Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 The Brickforge logo in the corner is a pretty good indicator it's sold from Brickforge... Just give Brickforge a quick search. It's an online store, so you can order the helmet you want from there. (If they still produce it) Quote

I was on Brickforge when I saw it (the product I was looking at was the neck armor). Quote

I apologize for my kinda snarky reply, then. Perhaps the helmet is an out-of-production helmet once sold at Brickforge? I wouldn't think they'd use someone else's helmet because it would inadvertently advertise for their competitor. Quote

LuxorV Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Actually, a note near the image on BrickForge's shop page says: Custom hairpiece by Arealight. Quote
Darkdragon Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 I'm fairly certain that's a BF helmet. I don't see them use other company's customs on their site in any case, so it could be a prototype? Have you tried emailing them? Quote
Axis600 Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 (edited) Actually, a note near the image on BrickForge's shop page says: Oh. Oops. Thank you, LuxorV. Off to Arealight's it is. Edit: Crap. All he has is his Star Wars stuff now. Ah, well, thanks anyways. Edited July 4, 2012 by Axis600 Quote
Axis600 Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 Ah, thanks. I was wrong again! Three of us in one short topic! Don't worry about it. I'm still embarrassed that I missed that little blurb about Arealight. Quote

Have you tried emailing them? That's BrickArms you're thinking of. Armothe tends to use other custom houses and brands when displaying his figs, particularly Arealight, Megabloks and Stikfas. -Omi Quote
the enigma that is badger Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 (edited) As has been well-established, that's one of Arealight's early casted works. To date, his injected accessories have all been SW-based, and as much as it's quality work, particularly the printing, it's somewhat of a pity given the quality of this historical and fantasy designs. The Sun Wukong figure I was able to create using his custom hair and tail pieces is easily one of my favorite custom figures I've ever created: That's BrickArms you're thinking of. That is correct: Will only showcases BrickArms and LEGO elements on his site. This ensures there are no misunderstandings about what is and isn't a BrickArms product . . . not unlike this situation ;) Edited July 6, 2012 by the enigma that is badger Quote
