"Yeah, it definitely feels pretty empty... didn't get much gold from my last quest, we sorta failed. I'd prefer to not talk about it, I think you'd understand."

It seems as if a dark shadow has fallen over Benji, as he recalls his failed quest, that dreadful spot on his record at Heroica that will never be cleaned...

"Failing is subjective when the Wolfgang are around, really. Never know what those crafty sewer rats have up their sleeves, but their motivations are atleast slightly noble. Too bad they have to murder and maim to achieve them."

"Hmm... perhaps we can dissect the crossbows and use them for our project. What the heck, I'll take three crossbows."

"I was planning to take out the firing mechanism and make a triple barreled crossbow weapon of sorts. Of course, I'd make some modifications to make them stronger..."

I shoot a quick but cold glance towards the dark guard.

"Is that something resembling SCORN brewing in your little head?"

"If these guards don't chuck me out of here by the undead rear, I'll be saying you tonight."

I check out the larger stall.

Deadly Venom - Use on a weapon to cause the badly-poisoned effect on every enemy it hits for the duration of one battle. Value: 50 gold.

Elf bomb- Causes 5 points of damage to all enemies. 10 gold

Fire bomb- Causes Fire elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if weak to fire. 10 gold

Ice bomb- Causes Ice elemental damage to all enemies, doubled if weak to ice. 10 gold

If you want to buy those crossbows, then go and do it, and if you want to buy a couple of elf bombs then I'd be interested in one. They may be useful."

I walk over to the lord guy (remember, I have diplomacy). "I'm sorry if my friend here has been bothering you. We're visiting here and we have some friends back home who might be interested in opening up a trade deal with this fair city, so that's why we're looking to see if you have any raw materials, so we could buy samples to bring back. If you don't mind me asking, my noble Lord, how is the economy doing here in this fair city? I'm a bit of an economist myself, I studied it four years in university. But anyways, thank you for your time and we appreciate your kindness for giving us a guide to show us around the city "

I take a theatrical bow.

I pull Benji over to a wall and say to him in a low whisper, hardly audible. I also make sure no guards are within yelling earshot.

"They're paranoid of rebellion, they have to be. Asking if the country has lumber shouldn't put them on national alert unless they're hiding something, and it's obvious the people are are scared out of their wits. Honestly? I think the only way we can get a bit of civilian help was to be to undermine them. Humiliate them publicly, cause a bit of stir and build upon it."

To Sorrow, Benji requests: "Do you have anything you want to buy? Times-a-wastin' and I'd like to move on to a different area of town... if you want to buy something then get it now."

OOC: If Drake doesn't respond today, then I'd like to suggest taking Dak as a replacement.

Since the only thing really at the docks is the tavern, you travel to the residential area. Two Charis guards are on duty. The newer one scared of the woman behind him, the punishment was 100 push ups if the commander caught him "off-duty."
