Heroica RPG- Quest # 37: Princess Panic

The censorship automatically disqualifies your "perfect world" vision. How can you have perfection when the very citizens you govern fear for their lives?"

I remove my hood, revealing the twisted and aged skeletal face beneath. I lean over to Benji.

"I wanted to talk to the princess too."

"If what you say is true, then to be honest we might be fighting on the wrong side. I only have two questions, before we make a choice:

1. If we decided to join your side, what would the benefits be for us?

2. Could we have an opportunity to speak with the Princess briefly, just to ask her if its true that she kidnapped your family, of course."

Turning to the other members, I whisper: "Don't be hasty. This is a very crucial moment and we don't want to make the wrong move. Let me do all the talking." *coughSorrowcough*

"Emphasis on theory. All it took was 3 people to waltz in to "your" city to stir up a sizeable rebellion. Tell me, what if Heroica catches wind of this? What if they send an entire 6 man party? What then? Us 3 practically slaughtered most of the towers defenses with the help of a few guards and some peasants."

"Emphasis on theory. All it took was 3 people to waltz in to "your" city to stir up a sizeable rebellion. Tell me, what if Heroica catches wind of this? What if they send an entire 6 man party? What then? Us 3 practically slaughtered most of the towers defenses with the help of a few guards and some peasants."

The Croise grows angry.

"Ha! It doesn't take much to kill some recruited bandit militia, graciously given a second chance, after being reinformed. Head East, the Elite Croise's are coming, they are knights, they have the best armor available, and there's an entire army of them. An army. Led by three of the best commanders."

Also, something that has been niggling in the back of my mind for far too long now: you were kidnapped on your way to see your fiancee. Did your fiancee also oppose the Fantome?"

Again. And again. And again. It's all so... crystal clear. As if every time it is actually happening to me again. Me and my alter ego didn't choose the moniker "Sorrow" for nothing.

I laugh. A cold, cruel laugh. I can see even Lycan is shaken by it.

"Killing is my release. My therapy, if you will."

You think I don't like the kill or the thrill of the chase? But you need weapons to master the kill. We don't have a clue how powerful this guy is. All we know is he's conquered this town which is quite a feat. He might be strong enough to wipe the floor with all of us. We join him, we fail the quest. We get killed by him, we fail the quest.

More guards more rewards. And anyway, I have a feeling we are going to have to face them anyway, they would just reinvade.

Lycan applies Venom to his saber. To tell the truth, Me and my undead friend could kill the warden, and he would agree with us anyway, so I vote we kill you, oh and I'm gonna cut up your body and throw it in the ocean.
