Capt.JohnPaul Posted July 26, 2012 Author Posted July 26, 2012 Here's the map. Sorrow, your soldiers march off in pairs, and they collect 3 helmets for you. So that makes 4 helmets total to do what ever with. Also, your farmers are looking bored in the corner, they're not finding any supplies. It's about 3 o'clock. "Heroes, we need to hurry up gathering materials, the execution should start at midnight." Quote
Endgame Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 I rub my temples in frustration: The execution was tonight?! "Farmers, 2 right, 4 down. I want one of you to repair the riot shields so each guard can last the full four rounds. Also, take any small, thick pieces of wood you have and whittle each end so that they are stakes. I want you to make 12 stakes for every guard, and jam them into their shields when you are done repairing them. That'll make them do more damage, and combined with Lycan's training, these guards might actually be a powerhouse. The rest of you farmers, lightly harvest the forest I pointed you to. I want some cover left, please and thanks. If you come across or have any rope or rope substitute, please tell me." I point at Guard 3. "I'm not usually this blunt, but: Hey, you! The weapons tent is run by a Charis Guard, right? Do you think if we go together, we could convince him to join our cause and get him to supply us some weaponry for you guys?" "Oh my Sorrow, you're being very commanding and bold today!" Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 "Oil honey and water. We need them as well." Quote
Flare Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 "Farmers, once you're done working on what Sorrow has told you, I want you to collect wood to make ladders, I'd rather avoid climbing through the whole tower if we don't need to." Quote

"How tall would you like the ladders? The only windows large enough for someone to climb through is the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd stories. The larger the ladders, the more wood will be needed, and it could potentially be unstable and hard to move." "Lycan, we have your honey and water, we can't find oil." Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 "What about fruit? Could we crush the fruit and turn it into a purée? We should then mix them together. It Should then become a Napalm like substance. We would then pour a mead into it to make it burn more. I would also suggest finding a large rock and using sap to glue it to some wood. It would be a battering ram of sorts. " Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 TheBoyWonder- Nice! Keep these ideas coming! QM Note: Endgame, you could recruit the weapons tent guard, but he'll be just another guard. He'll provide nothing extra. One farmer goes off to repair the shields and spikes. (Stats coming soon.) Two manhandle a ladder. (Flare, please specify what window you are going to breach.) Then the last farmer easily handles a ram on wheels. Lycan, you make a Fruit Bomb. "Aha! We got this. Though if you want more siege equipment, you'll need more farmers. What's the plan?" Fruit Bomb- Causes 4 damage, and the *Poisoned* effect for 3 turns. Ram- bursts down the entrance to the first floor. Requires 1 farmer or hero. Breaches the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd story windows. Requires 2 farmers or heroes. The farmers left the outer trees stand, so you still have cover. It's 4:30. Quote
Endgame Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 "Hrm. I suppose I'll recruit 3 more farmers. Could you fellows make a basic catapult, using the gathered helmet as a bucket the ammo is loaded in? I could buy some bombs and you could find some stones to load it with." Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted July 28, 2012 Author Posted July 28, 2012 Sorrow has recruited 3 more farmers! I have put them on the map next to you. Is that okay with you? "Hrm. I could buy some bombs and you could find some stones to load it with." "If you tell us how to build one. We're just farmers, this seems a little complicated." "Our shields are repaired. TheBoyWonder Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 How about a counterweight catapult? Here, I'll explain. Cut some trees up for wood. Make two cylinders, that are hollow, but have a base, much like a barrel. Then attach these to a piece of wood. The piece of wood would be attached with robe of string to a bar, therefore stopping the barrel to tip off. That would be attached to two large triangles made of wooden bars. This would fire something from one barrel when a heavier weight is placed in the other, like a scale. 0^-^0 Quote
