lengineers Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Hello I'm new to this exciting forum! Here is a Moc rejected by Cuusoo. Hope some like it. It also comes with a Bionicle scale Facehugger creature More pics of these on http://www.flickr.com/photos/lengineers/sets/ Quote
Artifex Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 You should NEVER put something THAT scary so close to the camera! My first reaction was to close the tab, man! Great MOC! I love it, even if I'm still shacking! Quote
lengineers Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 (edited) hehe this is probably the reason why it got rejected by Cuusoo... Happy you like it! Edited July 3, 2012 by lengineers Quote
Si-MOCs Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 First off, Welcome to Eurobricks! Secondly great Xenomorph! (Ahh where's my Pulse Rifle?!) It's a shame Cuusoo rejected it, though I can understand why they did... still it's a great MOC! Any plans on expanding this and building it more into an action scene? Quote
lengineers Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 (edited) Happy you like it , no plans yet but suggestions are welcome. BTW I also built a little Bionicle scale Facehugger that can truely hug a Bionicle character's face inserting its thing into the Bionicle mouth. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lengineers/sets/72157630297816990/ :) Edited July 3, 2012 by lengineers Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Did they say why it was rejected, was it just on the grounds of being way to scary, or more to do with the theme / film tie in? Either way, it is a really frightening thing! (In a good way.) That little facehugger, it has a tube coming out of it looking at your pictures, does this act to actually make it hug faces pneumatically? Is there a video of it doing some hugging? Quote
CMP Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Nice work! I'm a fan of brickbuilt xenomorphs as well, but yours is a rather underused scale, and I love the techniques you used to take advantage of that. Quote
Vindicare Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 I love the facehugger attached to it's victim picture. Neat little build. The alien is great too, very accurate. Quote

Well, they have kind of preset mail content for project rejections. That one said, it didn't match "it contains inappropriate content for a potential LEGO product" No, the Facehugger tang is not animated, only when hugging a face it fits exactly a tipical bionicle face's mouth hole like on this one http://www.flickr.com/photos/lengineers/7494924660/ Quote
