USS Veronica

[Captain Merlot]

I thought about getting in the spirit for the fourth of july, so I decided to make this USS Constitution themed ship, the outcome was a ship called the USS Veronica.

The first of these is a view from the front of the ship.

The next one is a view of the side of the ship.

The next photo is a picture of one of the figureheads.

This photo is of the other figurehead.

This next photo is of the prison aboard the ship.

Last but not least, I decided to give you a overall view.

I like the figurehead. I haven't seen that before. Aside from that? Do you intend to extend the bottom or the aft sections? It looks a little squared off. Ships from that age had a graceful curve to the hull. I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just saying.

Edit: Also, might want to make the pictures a wee bit smaller.

Would you resize your pictures to a maximum of 800x600 pixels? Otherwise the page takes ages to load.

I have a mac too and it is about the same thing to resize pictures than in a normal Windows or Linux. Where are you deep-linking them from? Flickr? Brickshelf maybe? If you are using Brickshelf — way easier, IMO — you just need to resize the pictures you are uploading by changing their size. If you don't know how to change the pictures' size you can do so in Preview, the default application for pictures, by selecting Tools and Adjust Size… where you can put 800x600 pixels.

Wouldnt it be easier to use the ready hullpieces instead of trying to make one out from bricks? Otherly than that i dont have anything else to say, i wait for more updates and gonna say then what i think.

Hah! Funny thing, I've been playing around with the same idea for a hull. Not bad If you use Flickr to host your images, it's easy as heck to get a smaller picture. No matter what computer you use.

That won't stop you from re-sizing a picture.

I'm not one to be particularly negative, but I find a few things about this technique your developing particularly auk ward. For one I have to agree with Becker, it doesn't appear to achieve anything that pre-fab hulls don't already. In that same light it certainly won't save on parts or expense. I can't imigane it's any more stable and the transition from bow to sides just doesn't seem to work, yet. I love innovation and would hate to discourage you from developing a new and unique technique, but I just don't get where this is going. Would you be so kind as to share some of your thought process? Perhaps you'll get some helpful input from the community if you did. If they will be of any help, I'll also, humbly, suggest looking over my own LDD designs for some ideas.
