Confuzzledapples Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Hey guys and gals, I just wanted to post my WIP of female shephard from Mass Effect. Yes I know the putty is yellow. I intend on resin casting it in the near future. I mainly wanted opinion on the hair. I'm not completely sure which to use and if I want to resin cast my own personal hair sculpt. Female Shephard by Confuzzled Apples (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧, on Flickr Enjoy! Quote
purpleparadox Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 (edited) I'm not familiar with Mass Effect 3, but the hairpieces you sculpted are neat. My favourite is the black one on the bottom. The red one is a cool shape too. I do like the texture on the yellow one but the colour is a bit too bright yellow for my taste. Good work! EDIT: Just read that you'd change the yellow putty to a different colour...it's still my least favourite of the three. I don't like the way the back looks all that much. Big T Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Cool, I love the Mass Effect series. Many Femsheps are different, but I'd say the Black hair shape wise is the best fit (that's a Friends hairpiece yeah?) but the yellow definitely has potential for a more renegade style (seems to have more attitude. I think once it was done in a more flattering colour (I'm guessing dark red) It'll look a lot nicer too. Nice face choice for her too, really captures her determination. Can't wait to see the final product. Are you going to make any of the other characters? (Jacob and Miranda would be fairly easy, and the Illusive Man.) I'd love to see Lego tackle the Mass Effect series although I never see it happening, there would be a lot of cool sets and minifigs to come from it. Just imagine a Lego Garrus or Tali! I'm liking what you have so far man Quote

Well the red one is from Arealight and the black is from the Friends series. As for the back of the yellow one, I'll be fixing it up once I finish up my resin casting experiments this weekend. I'm liking what you have so far man I personally have never played mass effect (not big on one player games), but I do love the character design from it which is one of the reasons I decided to go ahead and try for a femshep. As for the coloring, I'll definitely be going for a dark red color (to match the poster femshep). Yeah I really doubt lego would tackle mass effect (way too violent). I'm not sure if I plan on making other characters though. I may have to get one of the arealight torsos to modify to go and make miranda. I definitely like Tali's mask design though, so I may try making that later on. As for now I just want to get Femshep done. I'll definitely be taking a shot at resin casting the armor since I know a few people who would want it. Just not so sure about the hair right now. Quote

The beauty of it is really that there isn't going to be a true 'right' hairpiece for her, since you can customise the character in the game. But the black and yellow hair examples to me give her different personalities, so ultimately it can come down to what kind of Shepard you want your Femshep to be I'd love to see how a Tali helmet would come out if you did it too haha Quote
