Brickington Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 I know we've seen sets like Lego Sopwith Camel and USS Constellation, so while couldn't there be a mini-fig scale USS Niagara? It's perfect for TLG cause it only has 6 cannons. What do think? Would TLG make a set like this? Quote
Lego Otaku Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 From a movie: If you build it, they will come. Make a model of the ship and post it on Cuusoo. See if that brings in the demand for LEGO to make this or similar Artichect-type series for older ships. I'd like to see USS Constitution ship as it's over 200 years old and still serving US force. No other countries got a 200 years old ship still in active service. Quote
Brickington Posted June 26, 2012 Author Posted June 26, 2012 The problem with the USS Constitution is that it has to many cannons on the ship. Quote
LEGO Historian Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I'm not sure about the Legends version of the USS Constellation... but the #398 version back in the late 1970s was not a popular set.... none of the Hobby Sets apparently were. But by the same token... the Pirate ships appeared to be popular in the early 1990s. Quote

It had this certain charm of blockiness and classic Lego. I would really love a USS Niagara though, in minifigure scale. Quote
