Julandrius Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 For something that's been untouched for decades there's still more to discover then what meets the eye. I proudly present you my first Forced Perspective scene that I'm actually really satisfied with. I really enjoyed building this and I hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I did building it :D Any kind of C&C will be very much appreciated so have no doubt to tell me what you dislike or what you like. Linke to Flickr: I'd highly appreciate it if you could check out the picture on Flickr in all sizes or fave it if you wish. Have a very nice day, Julien Quote
jedi1984 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I love it! It has a real "Chernobyl atmosphere", that broken window is awesome! Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Brilliant forced prospective Julandrus! The use of the (what looks like) canons as the reactors in the background and the use of technic bricks as bullet marks is great as well as the minifigure head, its spot on for this creation. Quote
Hive Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Fantastic. Makes me want to play STALKER again. Where did you get the green skeleton? Never seen those before... Quote
The Blue Brick Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 The detailing is great in this. I really love the mini reactors and broken windows. The bullet holes and plants really add a more rundown and overgrown feel to it also. Quote
streifen Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 That broken window is just awesome! (watch your step. ) on the other hand, you have captured the "mood" of Chernobyl just nicely! Quote
Vindicare Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 (edited) Fantastic. Makes me want to play STALKER again. Where did you get the green skeleton? Never seen those before... I think it's an old Dementor. I really like that forced perspective plant in the back. The pockmarks in the walls are a nice touch, as is the busted window. The whole thing has a run down, weathered look to it. Great job! Edited June 26, 2012 by Legocrazy81 Quote
Julandrius Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 Thank you all so much :) The nuclear reactors were indeed made by using old gray cannons, nice catch. I'm glad you all like it, it's nice to hear so. The green skeleton is indeed an old Dementor Minifigure :) Quote
krystalKING Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Odd, I read about Chernobyl just last night. This is a fantastic MOC. PS: How did you know I was writing a post-apocalyptic novel? Quote
lego_legis_legere Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Great M.O.C. ! What an ingenious idea to place cannons in the background for the chimney. Good job ! Quote
The Snake 87 Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Great M.O.C. ! What an ingenious idea to place cannons in the background for the chimney. Good job ! Beautiful! That would be great for a Call of Duty scene too the say it's set up. Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Wonderfully detailed creation with an AWESOME shattered window design ! Brick On Fight On 'Julandrius' ! Quote
Lego Otaku Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 (edited) Thank you all so much :) The nuclear reactors were indeed made by using old gray cannons, nice catch. Looks more like the cooling tower to me than the reactor. It's funny you made this MOC, I saw a movie not too long ago Chernobyl: The Final Warning OOOOOLD movie but might be worth it if you're interested in the disaster. edit: typo Edited June 29, 2012 by Lego Otaku Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Great job on the perspective and really good use of the cannons! Quote
Miss Kyle Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 I might just be repeating everyone else's praise, but this is fantastic - I just love the shattered glass of the window and the blurry power plant outside in the background. Great build, great photography. Wow. Quote
Julandrius Posted July 6, 2012 Author Posted July 6, 2012 Thank you all so much :D Sorry for my late reply. Thanks to verybody for your kind words, and yes, I meant cooling towers haha :) Quote
