Get a head start at Brickster's 2007 Spooky Halloween Minifig Contest with Killer Croc! 9) 3825 Krusty Crab: decorate Sponge Bob's "home away from home" while you flip some Krabby Patties! OK, it's not the best set, but a fun set to liven up your Holiday "get-togethers" with friends. Includes Spongebob, Squidward, and Mr. Krab. 10) 6206 Tie Interceptor: fastest fighter in the Imperial Navy, command the Interceptor against the Rebels as they end their holiday season by escaping the picturesque mountains of Hoth. Is that Santa's sled in the sky! Nope, too fast! Must be a new Tie Interceptor. Well, you've had it! My 2006 Lego Holiday Picks, all under $25 (USD). Not sure what that equates in Euros, but I figure it's all equivalent! Quote
Athos Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Those are all under $25? I'd have thought the train and the bridge truck thing would have been more. The Krusty Krab is a nice set (though I don't like the figures at all). Lots of bricks and plates and hardly any unusuable pieces. Tie Interceptor is mediocre. Its another Tie, with the same design and the only thing that's new are the pointed wings, which get real old after you've done four of them over and over. Batman is an ok set. The figures are nice, but I didn't like the batboat much at all. The passenger car is a nice set. Lots of green, some nice windows, a door and furniture, but not much use if you don't have a train to pull it. I don't have the rest, so I don't know much about them, Steve Quote
xenologer Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 The way things are going nowadays, the presence of a Female minifig alone makes the High Speed Loco worthwhile also seems to have some nice slopes, that nose cone, and big windshielf for Space mocs.... out of the rest of those... I already have Heavy Loader, Batboat, Ferrari Fuel, and Rescue Heli mainly wanted them for parts, but so far they mostly sit on a shelf intact (except for the Heli, that ones turned out to be the most useful) Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 7, 2006 Author Posted December 7, 2006 True about the train sets. One does need an existing layout already, but the High Speed makes a great starter for a train. In addition, the passenger car (not pictured) is also under $25 and one can by a few to add on. In regard to the Green Passenger Train included in the list: I love this set. I like it because it really has a classic train feel; and although the roof does not easily lift off like other passenger cars, the nice brown chairs within makes up for it. One day I plan to use a few of these to make that Adventure Train I always wanted. out of the rest of those... I already have Heavy Loader, Batboat, Ferrari Fuel, and Rescue Helimainly wanted them for parts, but so far they mostly sit on a shelf intact (except for the Heli, that ones turned out to be the most useful) Sound like you have a good collection. And not listed because of the recent release, the new Classic SW AT-ST is definanetly on my list. Quote
