purpleparadox Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 (edited) "Lex Luthor has invented a gun called "The Deconstructor". Powered by Kryptonite, it can tear apart any shiny black objects. With his gun and a power suit, Lex is wreaking havoc on Gotham! I have to go stop him." I was looking at my minifig pieces and noticed: Galaxy Patrol armour-dark blue, Batman fig- dark blue! It seemed like a match made in heaven. So, of course I had to show this Batman variant off by having him fight the other "suit of armour" character I have. Donning a suit of blue armour (so it doesn't get torn apart), Batman went to stop Lex. Lex's point of view (kind of): Batman's point of view: Without any figs: And, probably the most interesting part, the pics of "Super-Armoured Batman": Well, there's my tablescrap for the day. I guess I have my new Lex minifig on the brain! Thanks for looking! Comments and criticism are always welcome. Edited June 29, 2012 by purpleparadox Quote
sologuy369 Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 I guess I have my new Lex minifig on the brain! I'd say ! Nice vig. If you were to get a title, it should be like "likes Lex armor" or something like that. I like that Batman too! Quote
Ceroknight Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Batman meets Ironman I love this! Super cool! Quote
Vindicare Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Ha! Looks like Wayne has been spending time in R&D with Lucius Fox at Wayne Enterprises. Quote
purpleparadox Posted June 22, 2012 Author Posted June 22, 2012 Thanks guys! The vig wasn't too detailed...I just built it to show off the minifigs. I really do like the Batman-in-bulky-armour look. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Good idea The figs look great and the vig sets them off nicely Quote
deskp Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Isnt the gun called the deconstructor, not debrickifier? Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Pretty cool use of the Galaxy Patrol's awrmour. Quote
purpleparadox Posted June 22, 2012 Author Posted June 22, 2012 Isnt the gun called the deconstructor, not debrickifier? I could've sworn it was the debrickifier... Looks like I need to go re-watch that cutscene. Quote
Faefrost Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Oh man! Now I know what that Galaxy Patrol chest piece reminds me of. Frank Millers The Dark Knight Falls. I like it! Quote
Lego_Graff Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 This looks awesome. I was just looking at my minis and noticed how many of the armor I had and tried to figure out what to use them for. Ideas aplenty now! Quote
Lightning Dragon Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 (edited) Nice! Actually an excellent idea for batman I just got another galaxy patrol, so my batman can have armor. It's a pretty neat idea. Edited July 1, 2012 by Lightning Dragon Quote
lockdownTF Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I've done the same thing but since I'm a bit of a perfectionist and thought the galaxy symbols looked out of place I had look online and found a way to remove them all you need is a bit of brasso a bit toilet/kitchen roll and some soapy water to clean off the brasso works amazingly fast Quote

Mr. Elijah Timms Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Speaking of armored Batman, I was playing the game last night and noticed that the Power (Explosive) Batman suit has some pretty unique pieces in its digitally rendered minifig. Sure, right away you notice the huge yellow/orange bomb handler 'gloves,' but upon closer inspection I noticed he's got this really cool Bat-Helmet thing going on. It reminded me of the Superman-Buster armor Batman wore in the original Dark Knight miniseries. That'd definitely make a really cool fig, perhaps in next year's wave. Your armored take definitely reminded me of it. Quote

I just can't wait til September to check out the Electro-Suit Batman!! Great work on the vig. I know what I'm doing when I get home! I love the flames too!! Just like the game!! Quote

I'm mad that them made robin only able to double jump in the Acrobat suit. And he has a Bo Staff in the suit. Too bad you can only get the Blue/White in the Custom Character Vault. Quote
purpleparadox Posted July 1, 2012 Author Posted July 1, 2012 What's September? The Batman Visual Dictionary. It's going to come with the Electro-Suit Batman fig! Quote
