Heart of Gold

So, in my usual lateness for a contest, I came up with doing the eye-shaped "Heart of Gold" from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

This was the first spherical thing I've built, and I tried to make it look as much as it does in the movie.

I'm not truly happy with the rear, but I suppose it's still recognizable.

Really really great MOC and model of what is other wise a really really awful ship design. Like others I grew up on the books and the old cheesy BC quality TV series. The Heart of Gold in that always seemed perfect. That new eyeball one just never worked for me.

That movie never happened. Not one single thing in it was true to the source. Awful, awful, awful.
