So what do you put in your castles? Interiors are something I need to improve on but here are some idea I did for my Captain's Hall a couple months ago. Includes a couple dressers, book shelf desk and a stand for a barrel http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=65617/ Quote
Rogue Angel Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 This is something I have been trying to work on. I'm doing OK with furniture ( tables, chairs, shelves, end tables, beds, divans/sofas) and I always have lighting which adds a little flavor, but I am trying to come up with new wall decorations. Windows are nice and I've been using tile tapestries, but I really think there are better options that I have not thought of. I should be posting my mage hall tonight, which has 3 stories of interiors. Quote

LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 You can find help on brickshelf searching "castle" or "castle interior" and more... Quote
KotZ Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 I think it depends on the castle. Who does it belong to? What would they have/how would they look? Would a bookshelf for Crownies look the same as one for the Forestmen, and so on? I usually just stick to crates and barrels for the smaller or guerrilla factions, with more "elegant" things for my bigger ones. Quote
Kayne Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 That can be a tough one, and not my strongpoint. A couple of our guil leaders(SoT and DC) are great at furnishings that feel real and lived in, so I would suggest studying some of their builds for inspiration Quote
Siercon and Coral Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 (edited) All the stuff mentioned above is helpful. Also everything you were already thinking about can just be done bigger. Here is just an off the top of my head list of stuff found in a castle. Hopefully these will spark your imagination and piece usage rather than posting a ton of detailed pics. Items: Candles Suits of armor Family crests Carpet Stools Scrolls Paintings Bookshelf Mantles Mounted animals Plants Potions Curtains Chandeliers Training equipment Beds/Barracks Fountains Statues Vermin Structure: Windows Arches Recesses Tiling/wood flooring Drains Fireplace Stained glass Here are examples of some interiors we have done for small vigs. We will also be coming out with another larger one in the next week or so. Anyways, hope that triggers something for ya! Edited June 22, 2012 by Siercon and Coral Quote
