Missing Brick Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 There are no trees on the page you linked to so not sure what your question is. However there are many good tree making instructions on flicker and YouTube. My favourite is eilonwy's tree weaving technique for small trees: http://www.flickr.com/photos/eilonwy77/sets/72157629804759804/with/7130734507/ Quote

I was wondering if someone could help me. I cant seem to figure out how he can turn them off center and build that tree trunk. Quote

They're great for making structures that don't conform to the usual Lego grid, from ship hulls to octagonal towers. Hope that helped! ~A.S. EDIT: on closer examination it looks like he's used 1x2 jumper plates to offset the faces of the tree by 1/2 a stud. Any luck with that? Edited June 18, 2012 by AwesomeStar Quote

I've looked at the picture. Maybe i just ask him and see if he can get a better photo for me. he does say "They are brilliant to build a round looking rod for tree trunks for example whitout using any one hinge. It´s a pity that there are only available in a huge amount in brown and gray (in all levels) and tan and only in 1 x 2 and 1 x 4. Edited June 18, 2012 by natesroom Quote

I have done a quick step by step build up for the trunk. Or you set it up like the six pieces and connect them in this order. After that you have to repeat this as many time you want to reach the hight you want. Edited June 18, 2012 by maydayartist Quote
llb Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 What a great technique, thanks for that! Pity I've got nowhere near enough pieces for a respectable tree.. Quote
