horizon Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Excellent work, my daughter said that they should make it an official lego modular. Quote
L@go Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 I really want to try to make a building like yours once, but i have never even built one of the modular sets....so, i do not now what technique is used in floor design etcetera.... To find out, just download the instructions :) Quote
Bricksan Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 I am drooling a this the entire design is beautiful and it reminds me of so many old style houses, good luck in the competition. Question after the contest will you be making the LDD available that is if you made one? Quote
sonicstarlight Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 If it looks this good and you still want to make improvements, I can only imagine how great the final version will look. I personally like the extra height, and the detailing on both the front and the back is really great. Quote
The Dutch Guy Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Great work Castor-Troy. I have seen some very beautiful builds by your hand and this one fits very wel with them. I love the rounded corner. I can't wait to see the interior. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 That's a great mansion with many interesting architectural details. The colour scheme is nice and fits the modular's line pretty nicely. Well done! As it looks, the competion will be tough one, so good luck! Quote
snaillad Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Very nicely done, I like the colour scheme and varied heights of the building. I look forward to seeing the interior! Quote
somara Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Given how well you have made the exterior look, I can't wait to see what you do for the interior! Quote
castor-troy Posted June 24, 2012 Author Posted June 24, 2012 This is my definitive version. I waited for pieces from BL and tried some modifications but not really nice. Only little changes on the facade and the structure for the interior. Thanx for your observations and good luck for the contest... RDC On the first Floor On the second floor... Quote
SalvoBrick Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Absolutely fantastic! Love the style, I'll try some of the ideas in some of my future modulars Quote
Hoexbroe Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 The interior decoration is equally impressive. A fantastic job you did! I can´t see how the elegant spiral stair connects to the 2nd floor (childrens room)¿? Quote
Redhead1982 Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Great and incredibly detailed interiors! Amazing work! My favourite are the spiral stairs and the 'cheasy' carpet, but the armchairs, paintings, mirror, etc. are wonderfull as well. The interiors looks crowded at first sight, but altogether it's just great. It fits in nicely and adds life to it! Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 This is so beautiful, I can't believe I mist it! (Well, blame it on Brickworld...) I like the colors and all the lime stone details. Quote
L@go Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 The exterior still looks stunning, and the interior certainly doesn't disappoint, it's absolutely fantastic. I love the bed on the first floor and that cheese-tiled mosaic floor - but what I really adore is the spiral staircase inside that round corner. It's brilliant. Best of luck in the competition, this certainly is a very strong contender! Quote
LAKAbricks Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 It is really a truly amazing building, you have made, castor-troy. The beautiful architecture combined with the finely detailed rooms. I just wonder what old "treasures" are hiding in the attics Quote
WetWired Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Very nice, how tall is it compared to a regular modular? Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 It's a beauty! Great design, also the interior. But what I like most are the colors, the match of tan and the red works great! Quote
castor-troy Posted July 10, 2012 Author Posted July 10, 2012 I integrate this MOC in my town. It was a little bit high and too big next official modular. I reduce for 5 tenons but I decide to extend on the left side. Quote
mephistopheles Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Wonderful MOC! So much detail to love! Quote
Ferrik Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 That's extraordinary! All that detail like the rounded windows and the design of the walls is amazing. Quote
