grum64 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) That Scottish lad Alasdair Ryan sent me a birthday present to cheer me up -- his PDF instructions for a Lego Technic wheel chair "Scooter". Here it is trying to keep up with that Lego "Friends" hottie, Stephanie! Good EveningThis is great. I've been making manual type wheelchairs for our Granson Jake to play with for a while & have been planning on making a MOC based on my outdoor wheelchair, a Meyra Optima 2. It'll be good to make a motorised MOC of as the 'chair has powered rear wheel steering. I've started tinkering on LDD to test a few ideas. We'll see how it goes. Alasdair Ryan Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Well it is nice to see another person like my moc,i wish you good luck on building your own. Quote
88high Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Nice! You made a Granny Scooter! All it needs is some of these very old grey tires, then it would be spot-on! Good, small and detailed MOC Quote

Alasdair Ryan Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 You never sent me one :( Your still young yet. Quote
TimH Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Thats a nice little moc Alasdair. What set are the grey wheels from? Quote
DLuders Posted June 11, 2012 Author Posted June 11, 2012 What set are the grey wheels from? I'm old enough to know -- those grey tires were part of these late 1960s-early 1970s (pre-Technic) sets. They were mounted on red wheels with fixed, METAL axles that fit into 2x4 Bricks with little tubes in them: Quote
88high Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 It looks much better now: perfect! now whos fabulous idea was that??? Your still young yet. Its so simple we could probably all build our own by looking at these pictures... sorry to add another constructive criticism, but i think it also needs a satchel basket on the front Like THIS or THIS Add that, and then it is spot-on Great Job by the way Quote
