QM Note: Due to the current description of the petrified effect, the Zealot will be considered a rock monster. The enemy party is unable to remedy the Zealot so it's nothing game breaking.

Singerson ducks behind a crate or something. It turns out to be the same spot selected by Nyssa. She turns to him and says, "So do you come here often?" Hound swipes at the air as he slowly moves backward. Ranger gets on one knee and aims his bow. Rogue moves in front of Thormana while she recovers from her blinded state.

The cleric and paladin siblings prepare their spells as they size up their new opponents. The woman successfully increases her mental acuity with an intelligence buff. Thormanil wildly throws two bombs taking out the Mage. The shattering vials distract the paladin who casts a heal on Echo, severely damaging the spirit. The three ghosts assault the Party in unison and do a little damage.

The Wraith rises high in the air and attempts to suck 10 ether from the heroes.

The Wraith and cleric suffer damage from the poison as the battle continues.

OoC: With the way it's worded, you can safely assume Archivist takes damage received by any orc on the battlefield.

Rubbing her eyes, Thormana is greeted with the view of a fight well within their reach.

"It's good to know I'm not the only one who can mess up so poorly with healin'! Now, you Maa'ri have gotta take off your masks, just in case. I'll attack the Paladin from up front, twice, with my Thundering Totem. Ranger, Rogue, I'd like t'see the two of ya focus down the cleric, Ranger from the back and Rogue from up front. And Hound," Thormana kneels and pets Hound again, "keep up the good work. Take a bite outta Echo, 'kay boy?"

"Hey, Singerson, hope yer takin' notes, this here's gonna make a great ballad some day! Now Ranger, Rogue, follow my lead and Hound, bring up the rear!"

Singerson pulls out a blank scroll and takes notes. Thormana transfers life from the Paladin to Hound and gets a solid hit on him with her totem. The Paladin's defense offers him some much needed protection. Thormana the Greedy used up all the good rolls for the round because the Maa'ri do terribly. The Cleric charges the back row and clips Ranger while evading Rogue's attack. Hound snaps at Echo but the spirit floats out of reach. The enemies steadily chip away at the Party's health.

The Wraith again rises high in the air and attempts to suck 11 ether from the heroes.

Ohhhh lord, I missed Jeb's post. I thought we were waiting on him. My very bad. That said, shouldn't the Archivist's attack have mimicked Hound's special when he got a free hit on Thorm, thus he would take the damage that the Maa'ri orcs were set up to take?

QM Note: The Archivist only mimics players' SHIELD rolls when a player rolls DAMAGE against him. It does not apply to free hits. If it did then he'd have been doing Knifk's Demon Within this entire time.

Oh, shoot, I *completely* forgot that Knifk targeted the Archivist way back. And here I thought I had this brilliant set up... I was thrown off by the "not targeted so does not mimic shaman SHIELD roll)", I suppose. If he had been targeted, he wouldn't have gotten a free hit, so that clause seemed superfluous, which led to my other assumption. Bah, and double Bah!

How did Alpha (Lv10) hit Ranger for 23 (before reductions)?

Sure enough, he was. Eurgh, this battle's making me lose my mind, I swear!

Ranger continues to target Cleric from the back row, while Thormana attacks the Alpha & Echo with her Thundering Totem from the front & back rows. Rogue should attack the Paladin from the front row. Thormanil>Hound>Ranger>Rogue.

The remaining ghosts dissipate for good as Thormana's enchanted totem cuts through them. Ranger gets a bead on his target and will surely finish the cleric at the beginning of the next round. The enemy paladin proves too much for Rogue and his weapon clubs her in the head. She goes limp and does not move. The Hound STILL can not seem to reach the Wraith as it floats out of his reach once again. The Archivist and Cleric do minor damage.

Thormana shuffled over to where Arasmyth and Ad-hoh had fallen. Elgar lay nearby, but Thormana felt as though she already knew what the ranger would say. She poked at Arasmyth and Ad-hoh, trying to get a moment of consciousness out of the two. Speaking in a low whisper, she asks,

"So, uh, 1000 gold doesn't sound half bad... My ears are ringing, you're all bloodyin' up the floor, I think we should consider the offer."

Turning to the Archivist again,

"You've got a mighty big hole burnin' in your pocket. That, or you're tired of watchin' us beat up on yer crew! Maybe you should throw your fancy little Lens on the table, too."

QM Note: Oh yeah oops sorry. Ranger is supposed to unleash his shot before all actions at the beginning of the round AND is able to choose a normal target. Sorry the description...does not say that at all...whoops. So as of right now, Ranger will shoot cleric at the beginning of round 14 then his normal target/roll will default to the next enemy in enemy battle order which is the petrified zealot. Please feel free to select another target for Ranger, rearrange battle order or leave as is. Sorry for inconvenience.

Thormana takes a moment to think of how best to proceed with this battle and decides to take a potion. Ranger is hit by the wraith but is still in the fight. It's 3 versus 3...+ a statue.

The Wraith again rises high in the air and attempts to suck 14 ether from the heroes.
