Jebediahs Posted September 5, 2012 Author Posted September 5, 2012 *cough* For your hosting pleasure... Shiny! OoC: Very cool! Results of Round Five of The Archivist's Assault: Homer Singerson uses Skill - Song: of Akkaba (Enemy is hexed for three rounds: Akkaba Paladin])Knifk vs. Akkaba Mage (Human) - Critical Mortal Hit (12x2+19=43 damage, Leadership=No) >Thormana Nihai heals Ad-Hoh - No Healing/Shield: Blood Ritual (Akkaban Archivist is immune!) >Thormanil Nihai uses Item (Self) - Grand Tonic (+15 ether) >Arasmyth RuGard vs. Orc Spirit (Echo) - Great Spell/Critical Hit ((8x2+15)/2 rounded down =15 damage) >Ad-Hoh uses Item (Self) - Ether Core (+full ether) >Elgar Gligin uses Item (Orc Spirit (Echo)) - Potion (10 damage) Free Hits: Akkaban Archivist vs. Knifk - Free Hit (Immune, not targeted so does not mimic shaman SHIELD roll) Knifk counter-strikes Akkaban Archivist - Free Hit (31-5=26 damage He still can't seem to deflect a thing! ) Vengeance Wraith vs. Thormanil Nihai - Free Hit (Immune) Orc Spirit (Alpha) vs. Arasmyth RuGard - Free Hit (Immune) Akkaba Paladin (Human) vs. Ad-Hoh/Akkaba Cleric (Human) - Free Hit (20-5=15 damage) Akkaba Cleric (Human) vs. Elgar - Free Hit (Immune) Akkaba Mage, T'wan Ti (Human) vs. Knifk - Free Hit (20x2 Singerson's song =40 damage No defense, second enemy to get a free hit ) Knifk counter-strikes Akkaba Mage, T'wan Ti (Human) - Free Hit (31 damage) Other Stuff: All players lose 5 ether from Wraith's drain Singerson sings a song. Knifk presses his target again but this time scores an even bigger hit. Thormana conducts a blood ritual but the Archivist is immune to clerical spells. Nihai drinks some medicine to restore ether. Arasmyth tries to continue with his spell casting but finds he's out of ether. He shrugs and swings his stick at the ghost instead. Ad-Hoh cracks open an ether core and lets the effervescent contents restore his ether in full. With eyes too blurred to fire a bolt, Elgar grabs a potion, pulls out the cork with his teeth and blindly throws it at Echo. The Archivist tries to attack Knifk but only ends up getting damaged himself. The wraith and Alpha are not able to penetrate Singerson's song. The Paladin smiles as he pelts his teammate. She grins as well then hits Elgar. Maybe there's some sort of sick relationship between those two...T'wan Ti comes to the aid of her sister and nails Knifk with a bolt of magic. Thanks to Singerson's song, the blast is amplified. Knifk drops his sword and shield then drops to his knees. After a brief silence, T'wan Ti slowly approaches and pokes him. "Is it dead?" Suddenly the sand green brute lashes out with his fist landing directly under the mage's chin. He collapses but not before sending the woman flying. Once again the Wraith flies high and wails but this time it sucks 5 ether from the heroes. The Party's immunity is gone for good. What ever are they going to do? The battle continues. "Isn't that where those guys we hired went?" - "Damn." The orcs make their way to the Apothecarium. Results of Round Six of The Archivist's Assault: Homer Singerson uses Skill - Song: Shameful Secrets (Heroes have their level halved for this round.) >Thormana Nihai heals Ad-Hoh - Heal/No Healing ((12+21/2 rounded down +1=23 health) Thormana Nihai - Orc Spirit (Echo) - Extra Critical Hit/Hit (9x3+21/2 rounded down +1=38 lightning damage) >Arasmyth RuGard uses Item (Self) - Grand Tonic (+15 ether) >Ad-Hoh vs. Akkaba Mage (Human) - Special Damage: Righteous Smite (25/2/2 rounded up =7 damage Hoh; Hoh, Elgar, & Smyth=blind the next round) >Elgar Gligin vs. Akkaba Cleric (Human) - Shield: Tripleshot (Cleric: 11+16/2-5=14 damage, T'wan & Mage: 19 lightning damage) Free Hits: Akkaban Archivist vs. Thormanil Nihai - Free Hit (10-3=7 damage, not targeted so does not mimic shaman SHIELD roll) Vengeance Wraith vs. Arasmyth RuGard - Free Hit ((23+5)/2-3= 11 damage) Orc Spirit (Alpha) vs. Ad-Hoh - Free Hit (10/2=5 damage) Akkaba Paladin (Human) vs. Elgar Gligin/Akkaba Mage, T'wan Ti (Human) - Free Hit (20 damage) Other Stuff: All players lose 6 ether from Wraith's drain Singerson sings a song. Thormana heals Ad-Hoh then charges Echo from the front row. Her lightning enhanced totem would have done an amazing amount of damage but it's hard to concentrate with Singerson's squawking. Just what language is he singing in, Rito-eese? Arasmyth guzzles a grand tonic while Elgar fires three bolts. With his reduced mental capability, his shots don't do their normal damage. He does manage to bring T'wan close to death. Enraged, her sister mage brings down the light on Hoh and blinds those standing next to him. The Archivist sees an opening and clocks Nihai before standing aside looking smug. The Wraith swipes at Arasmyth as Alpha goes for Ad-Hoh. The hexed paladin sets his sights on T'wan Ti and knocks her out. The Wraith flies high and wails as it sucks 6 ether from the heroes. Only a couple of rounds left before backup arrives. Akkaba’s Delight - A delightful diddy about Akkaba before he was betrayed. Causes the blessed effect on a random ally for three rounds. “Oh! You doth have a friend in me...” Truth Of Akkaba - Reveals the horrid truth of Akkaba. Hexes a random enemy for three rounds. “See the face of Akkaba, see his true visage...” Shameful Secrets - This song reminds all combatants of a shameful secret they hold (like hitting a boy in the head in the sewer) . 50% chance heroes have their level halved for one round and 50% chance enemies have their level halved for one round. “Let your secrets out I say! Let them see the light of day!” Sewer Slide - It seems that Singerson might have entered through the sewers as well. All heroes are hastened but also poisoned for one round. “Sliding down the sewer luge is fun...but dirty.” Bridge Guardian - A familiar song about a giggling guardian. All enemies are magically burned for 5 damage regardless of SP. “Giggle giggle giggle, all she does is giggle as you fall in a pit and are burned for a bit.” Righteous Reverb - The song reverberates off the walls, vibrating the heroes. All heroes get the immune to physical damage effect (physical based free hits included) for three rounds but take double damage from magic based attacks (magical based free hits included). "Caaanaaanaaan yoooouuuuuuuu feeeeeeeeeeeeelllll theeeeeeeeeeeeeee viiiiiiiiibrrrrrraaaaaaatiiioooooooonnnnnsssssssss?!" Party Leader, choose the order of actions. Also choose the song Singerson will sing. It will take effect before the round begins. Knifk, state if you want to sacrifice any additional health for your attacks. All of you, choose your targets and the Row you want to fight in. Also mention if you want to try to flee, heal, or cast a magic spell, or if you want to use an item instead of attacking. Check your stats, let me know if there are mistakes. Trickster's Masks can be donned/removed in the same turn as your normal action. Currently two characters are wearing a mask: Thorm(Gender-Human) and 'Smyth(Gender-Elf) QM Note: The Maa'ri will join the fight at round 10...if you live that long. Quote
swils Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 (edited) "Crunch time, no more foolin' around. These will be the last heals we see for awhile, so keep yer potions ready!" Thormanil heals Arasmyth and himself from the back row. "We've got 3 hits coming our way, so ya might as well brace yerselves, too. Elgar, I need you on that Wraith. He'll hit the rest of us for extra damage. Arasmyth, Ad-hoh, split your casts between Echo and that last mage. Elgar and Ad-hoh should take the lead this round, I'll follow them and then Arasmyth can bring up the rear. That'll help spread the damage out." Edit: **Channel heals through the Wyvern's Tailblade. Jedi master Brick Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Elgar stumbled about clutching for his crossbow "I have a better plan, I can use my portion on you thormnail and you can do some real damage." Elgar uses a potion on Thormnail from the back row Quote
swils Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 (edited) "Honestly, I'd rather ya saved yer potion for when I'm outta ether. Plus, that potion'll only heal me half as much as I can heal myself, long as I don't bugger up the ritual. Even if ya can't do real damage, denyin' them a free hit is what's important." "Of course, it seems I spoke without thinkin' it all through. Use yer potion on Arasmyth instead. Using my Wyvern's Tailblade, I'll heal myself, and the Wraith, from the back row."
