Jedi master Brick Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Elgar punches the trainer from the front row Quote
Jebediahs Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 I, ___Jebediahs__ do hereby attest to the validity of the following die rolls as rolled on this Online Die Roller. These results were not altered by your QM in any form or fashion but may have been tampered with by Akkaba himself. If so, he is one funny deity. Rolls 1 & 4 = Special 1; 2 & 5 = Special 2 and; 3 & 6 = Special 3. The rolls starting at Thormanil were 6,5,6,5,6,5,I went and ate dinner,6,5... A single six-sided die was used. Singerson's speed increases as he continues to run around banging on things. He plants a single foot on a bench and executes a backflip ending with him doing the splits as he lands. He's on his feet again then on his knees, sliding around strumming an invisible air guitar. The scary thing is, pleasant music is coming from it! Oh wait...it's just his sound mimicry ability in action playing the Sewer Slide. Results of Round Four of the Akkaba Training Session: Knifk vs. Akkaba Melee Trainer - Damage (28-9=19 damage received) Thormanil Nihai vs. Akkaba Melee Trainer - Special Damage: Dull the Pain (Knifk, 6-9~=0;Thorm, 6-3=3;Aras, 6/2-3=0;Hoh, 6/2=3; Elgar,6 damage received) Knifk vs. Akkaba Melee Trainer - Special Damage: Dull the Pain (Knifk, 6-9~=0;Thorm, 6-3=3;Aras, 6/2-3=0;Hoh, 6/2=3; Elgar,6 damage received) Thormanil Nihai vs. Akkaba Melee Trainer - Special Damage: Dull the Pain (Knifk, 6-9~=0;Thorm, 6-3=3;Aras, 6/2-3=0;Hoh, 6/2=3; Elgar,6 damage received) >Arasmyth RuGard vs. Akkaba Melee Trainer - Special Damage: Dull the Pain (Knifk, 6-9~=0;Thorm, 6-3=3;Aras, 6/2-3=0;Hoh, 6/2=3; Elgar,6 damage received) >Ad-Hoh vs. Akkaba Melee Trainer - Spell Aim (6 0x2=0 darkness damage) >Arasmyth RuGard vs. Akkaba Melee Trainer - Spell (6+13-10=3 damage) >Ad-Hoh vs. Akkaba Melee Trainer - Shield: Summon Spirit Ad-Hoh's Spirit of Darkness vs. Akkaba Melee Trainer - Spirit Attack (17x2*10=24 darkness damage) Elgar Gligin vs. Akkaba Melee Trainer - Aim( ) Elgar Gligin vs. Akkaba Melee Trainer - Aim( ) Akkaba Melee Trainer vs. Knifk - Free Hit (28-9=19 damage) Knifk vs. Akkaba Melee Trainer - Counter Strike (27-10=17 damage) After assessing the Party's skills, it was now time to for the instructor to teach. He positioned the heroes in a line side by side before motioning for Knifk to come forward. "You there, dwarf."Knifk lunges at the Akkaba instructor who keeps his eyes on the Party. The Trainer slowly takes a small step to the left and elbows Knifk hard in the back. The blow combined with the momentum he'd already built up sends him crashing into a weapons rack. The Trainer maintains his gaze at the rest of the Party. "Do what I do," he says as he grabs a hammer and begins his lesson. Knifk begrudgingly rejoins the group. "Now you, woman." Thormanil also charges but the Trainer ducks his punch and strikes the shaman in the gut with the end of his mallet. The heroes begin to snicker. "SILENCE!" With a mighty sweep the Trainer clocks each of heroes with the business end of his hammer. "Now which of you recruits-" Knifk doesn't give the man time to finish his sentence before his second charge. "An eager one. Akkaba will like that but your form is too sloppy." Blow after dwarf/orcish blow is deflected until Knifk is out of breath. "Back in line!" The Trainer slams the mallet on Knifk's booted foot. Knifk grinned. His comrades did as well because they knew such a strike wouldn't hurt the orc. "What are you smiling at?!" Again, the Trainer swung his hammer in a wide arc. Arasmyth shot a tiny tendril of wind that was just enough to cause the swing to miss him without anyone noticing. He feigned an injury. Unfortunately this tiny boost of wind propelled the hammer faster and harder. Enough so to knock Elgar out cold. Oops, thought the Trainer. Thormanil tried again to best the Trainer and failed. Arasmyth's attempt led to the same results. The heroes tried to mimic the Trainer's movements but without their weapons in hand they were not able to take full advantage of the training. Tired of this game, Ad-Hoh shot a spell at his target but without his staff to focus it, the blast didn't connect. Following Hoh's lead, Arasmyth also produced a spell that didn't have much effect. A frustrated Ad-hoh summons his pet to take care of business. The Akkaba Melee Trainer lays down his hammer. As the training session ends, Knifk is fed up and sprints towards the Trainer again. "When will you lear-?" Knifk's willpower breaks free from the lesson's control which allows him to pick up his weapon and put it into his target. The instructor's eyes go wide but due to his incredible speed he's able to pick up a nearby sword and engage his opponent. The sound of clanging metal can be heard throughout the room. The two combatants get close and strike a finishing pose. As the proverbial dust settles, Knifk falls down unconscious. The standing heroes shake off the side effects of Singerson's haste song when the Trainer puts a hand out to the group as if to say, "stop". The heroes feel themselves being force pushed to the back row. - "Defend yourselves, heh, if you can. Defensive Tactics." The Enemy Akkaba Melee Trainer - "You kids didn't pay as much attention to this lesson as I thought. Let's run through it again..." Homer Singerson has 6 songs that can be sung, each usable only once per battle. Akkaba’s Delight - A delightful diddy about Akkaba before he was betrayed. Causes the blessed effect on a random ally for three rounds. “Oh! You doth have a friend in me...” Truth of Akkaba - Reveals the horrid truth of Akkaba. Hexes a random enemy for three rounds. “See the face of Akkaba, see his true visage...” Shameful Secrets - This song reminds all combatants of a shameful secret they hold (like hitting a boy in the head in the sewer) . 50% chance heroes have their level halved for one round and 50% chance enemies have their level halved for one round. “Let your secrets out I say! Let them see the light of day!” Sewer Slide - It seems that Singerson might have entered through the sewers as well. All heroes are hastened but also poisoned for one round. “Sliding down the sewer luge is fun...but dirty.” Bridge Guardian - A familiar song about a giggling guardian. All enemies are magically burned for 5 damage regardless of SP. “Giggle giggle giggle, all she does is giggle as you fall in a pit and are burned for a bit,” Righteous Reverb - The song reverberates off the walls, vibrating the heroes. All heroes get the immune to physical damage effect (physical based free hits included) for three rounds but take double damage from magic based attacks (magical based free hits included). "Caaanaaanaaan yoooouuuuuuuu feeeeeeeeeeeeelllll theeeeeeeeeeeeeee viiiiiiiiibrrrrrraaaaaaatiiioooooooonnnnnsssssssss?!" Party Leader, choose the order of actions. Also choose the song Singerson will sing. It will take effect before the round begins. Also, choose Ad-Hoh's action just in case. Knifk, state if you want to sacrifice any additional health for your attacks. All of you, choose your targets and the Row you want to fight in. Also mention if you want to try to flee, heal, or cast a magic spell, or if you want to use an item instead of attacking. Check your stats. If the trainer is not targeted he will deal a Free Hit in addition to his hastened Free Hit after everyone has acted. Quote

As the wedding must be in full swing, there is only one vendor kiosk operating. Our heroes approach the lone salesperson. They see a strange looking individual. The person appears to be human with long light blonde hair pulled back into a pony tail. The bangs were parted to reveal a peculiar pair of reflective spectacles that adorned an angelic and almost feminine face. The vendor’s gender could finally be determined from the light tuft of hair sprouting from the unfastened top button of his shirt. The party notices a number on his shirt. Perhaps it designates his employee number at his primary place of employment. He is carrying a chain wrapped around his back and in his right hand he holds a restraining device consisting of a pair of strong, connected hoops that can be tightened and locked about the wrists. He smelled of what could only be described as a cinnamon fragrance with a touch of rose water and a hint of lavender. “Greetings all! His songs could come in handy for charming clients. I say "sibling" because even though we grew up together, not even I know what gender he is! One day we'd refer to him as male, another as female." He shook his head. "Androgyny, yet another skill she's grasped better than me." "Work for you dear brother, no. With you I never get to put on a show. You prefer the glint of money and always thought my dance and song so funny. No one can sell a better scroll but selling them takes no soul. I prefer to help travelers, adventurers and heroes, rather than sell to your clients, which tend to be zeros. You'll always be my favorite brother even though you're the only from mother. But I've taken up too much time with this family rhyme. Back to helping these heroes along on their quest, sell them good objects so they'll be the best!" "Hmph. Aw well. Anything else heroes or are you going to move on to the next location? I don't get along with the owner, but I believe the main shop of the Mercantile is open as well." Quote
Kadabra Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 "Let's move to the Mercantile. We can head back here if Thormy or Ad Hoh wants a scroll." Quote
ADHO15 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Ad-Hoh purchases Harlotry for 50 Gold and a Happy Ending for 200 Gold on the condition that he gets all of his money back before sharing the extra gold gained with the rest of the party. "To the Mercantile!" Quote

As he gets closer the heroes see he's no older than six or seven seasons. The boy bumps into Thormanil and continues through the group. "Out of my way! Hero comin' thru!" The little hero appears to be equipped with an inordinate amount of wooden weaponry. He has a couple of wooden swords strapped to his back, a wooden mace and wand fastened to his waist, a staff in hand and a bucket atop his head. He looked ridiculous. The Party stopped in their tracks to watch the boy climb a ladder to the second story of a closed shop. "I'm Ulf Gohon the greatest hero in Olegaia! SEE MY POWER! Watch me jump!" A woman calmly strolls to the bottom of the ladder and looks upward. "Now Ulf, how many times must we go over this? What does Akkaba teach us about those who do anything for attention?" "They will be smote by Akkaba's light, raised from death by his darkness then smote again for all eternity... yeah yeah. " The woman nods and waves her finger for the boy to climb back down. As he does, the Party fails to notice an approaching patrol. "Move along there, folks. Nothing to see here-oh! It's you! Accompanied by the bard now I see. What are you folks up to, causing any trouble?" How will the Party respond? QM Note: Again any response by The Party has a 2/6 chance with diplomacy and a 1/6 chance without of bypassing this encounter. Quote
