Jebediahs Posted August 2, 2012 Author Posted August 2, 2012 "Aaand awaay we strolll!" Singerson pocketed his key. Starting near the sewers, the Party decides to cut across the city to get to the War Quarter. They pass through a section of the Transient Vendor Area which appears to have a single merchant shop open. They continue their trek which takes them to the Mercantile. "Out of my way! I'm in a hurry!" A gruff individual hollered as he pushed his way passed the group. "Oh dear it's him...From the crowd gossip I've heard while performing in this area, that poor old thing used to be the richest man in the city. The townsfolk think he's a jerk but I think he's simply misunderstood. He's got guts though for showing his face after the accident and all. It seems he..." The Party cleared even more empty merchant stands but again thanks to the wedding of the city's head official, there seemed to be only one left open. "Hey! you gNubs! Get o'er 'ere and check out me wares!" The Heroes from Heroica ignored the Akkaban merchant and continued on their way. At the entrance to the War Quarter, the Maa'ri reappeared. "Who the hell is that? We told you to rescue orcs, not-" "Homer Singerson is my name and singing songs is my-" "I don't give a-!" Rogue brought the end of her knife to her companion's back and whispered in his ear. "I grow tired of your antics. We've yet to find any sign of her and I won't allow you to mess things up." The Hound slowly raised a doggy eyebrow, apparently uninterested. This was definitely a regular occurrence between the two orcs. "What he meant to say is we haven't found any sign of our friends either." Her head twitched as if she heard something in the distance. Hound dropped to his belly and lazily wagged his tail. "Look, we'll check out the main palace looking area of the war quarter while you guys head to the training room. From here on out if you find our friends or evidence of our friends, a weapon, shield, anything, retreat to the marketplace (Mercantile or Transient Vendor Area) and we'll regroup to discuss our next plan of attack. There might be a 50/50 chance of us not being there as we must actively evade patrols. REMEMBER our comrades are a knight, a sage-like wizard, a goblin engineer and a goblin demolitionist. Make haste!" The orcs quickly headed off to the main palace looking thing while the Party reached the training barracks. “In the warrior quarter troops train, trying not to get bashed in the brain. If they learn enough they will gain much fame, when they win in a tourney, showcase or game. They gain much skill, in their training to kill, their next foe, who now weeps with woe.” The Heroes are greeted by a single individual in a room full of training weapons. He is rather pale so his loyalty to Akkaba must be strong. "Ah, new recruits and the bard too! Have ye come to train?" How will the Party respond? Quote

Homer Singerson has 6 songs that can be sung, each usable only once per battle. Akkaba’s Delight - A delightful diddy about Akkaba before he was betrayed. Causes the blessed effect on a random ally for three rounds. “Oh! You doth have a friend in me...” Truth of Akkaba - Reveals the horrid truth of Akkaba. Hexes a random enemy for three rounds. “See the face of Akkaba, see his true visage...” Shameful Secrets - This song reminds all combatants of a shameful secret they hold (like hitting a boy in the head in the sewer) . 50% chance heroes have their level halved for one round and 50% chance enemies have their level halved for one round. “Let your secrets out I say! Let them see the light of day!” Sewer Slide - It seems that Singerson might have entered through the sewers as well. All heroes are hastened but also poisoned for one round. “Sliding down the sewer luge is fun...but dirty.” Bridge Guardian - A familiar song about a giggling guardian. All enemies are magically burned for 5 damage regardless of SP. “Giggle giggle giggle, all she does is giggle as you fall in a pit and are burned for a bit,” Righteous Reverb - The song reverberates off the walls, vibrating the heroes. All heroes get the immune to physical damage effect (physical based free hits included) for three rounds but take double damage from magic based attacks (magical based free hits included). "Caaanaaanaaan yoooouuuuuuuu feeeeeeeeeeeeelllll theeeeeeeeeeeeeee viiiiiiiiibrrrrrraaaaaaatiiioooooooonnnnnsssssssss?!" Party Leader, choose the order of actions. Also choose the song Singerson will sing. It will take effect before the round begins. Also, choose Ad-Hoh's action just in case. Knifk, state if you want to sacrifice any additional health for your attacks. All of you, choose your targets and the Row you want to fight in. Also mention if you want to try to flee, heal, or cast a magic spell, or if you want to use an item instead of attacking. If the trainer is not targeted he will deal a Free Hit in addition to his hastened Free Hit after everyone has acted. Edited August 4, 2012 by Jebediahs Quote
