Scouty Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Well, how about these? this should make a good one. Quote
Scouty Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Besides this this this this this this this this this this this this this and this I have no other solutions for tentacles. With the brick and plate hinges, you can build around them to make the tentacles. Also, you said IS there anyone here with ideas for the big tentacles of the Kraken? You didn't say anything about the Kraken breaking the ship. Just tentacles, unless that's what you meant by the above post. Just tentacles. If you want ideas for the destruction of the ship, say so in the next post. Quote
oo7 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 The best way is probably getting a bunch of things like those that Mr. Tiber just posted, with alot of slopes and bionicle part built around it. In other words, buy a 7018. Quote
Scouty Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I'm surprised you didn't mentioned these: That's what I had in mind for the smaller tentacles (the not-break ones...). I've completely forgoton about those. those are also some other good ones. Quote
oo7 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Hokay. I've managed to get hold of a webcam (for free!) and I've been doing a little screwing around :-D (Although I still really want to figure out how to use the digital). Nothing serious; http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5846408679228015102 X-D Quote
Scouty Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 That was really good for a first beginner! Now, let's see some pirates, arr. Quote
oo7 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 That was really good for a first beginner! Now, let's see some pirates, arr. Thank you! Although I believe that's a bit redundant..... I have another one or two that are little more complex, with a bit more minifig walking, etc. but those are more serious so I don't think I'll release them just yet. And what happened to those other two Black Goblet 'adds' the current one looks a bit grainy and kinda washed out. The first add might not have had the final minifig selection, but the quality has excellent. EDIT: I have identified the webcam: It is a QuickCam Express and it looks like this; Now, let's see some pirates, arr. :'-( Quote
Scouty Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Hmmm, not a bad web cam. I was just joking about the "pirates" bit :-P . I changed posters for many reasons. The first one was pulled because there was a change. So I put the Captain (Imperial) there. Then I replaced that one with the new and present one. I'll be making some more. For some reason it came out blury :S . Well, now I'm just capturing some dark pictures. Quote
oo7 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Hmmm, not a bad web cam. Yeah, I guess not (I was kind of disappointed originally). The low-light performance and the resolution is pretty poor but I guess that's very normal for webcams under $100 :-/ . However, the stand is very good, sturdy yet flexible and the rubber on the bottom 'grips' a table very well. I was just joking about the "pirates" bit :-P . Yes, I need to get myself some real pirates sometime soon. I changed posters for many reasons. The first one was pulled because there was a change. So I put the Captain (Imperial) there. Then I replaced that one with the new and present one. I'll be making some more. For some reason it came out blury :S . Well, now I'm just capturing some dark pictures. Yeah, I Quote
Berry Syedow Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Lots of images... I have no other solutions for tentacles. With the brick and plate hinges, you can build around them to make the tentacles. Also, you said This is a very resourceful list! Thank you for taking the time to assemble it. :) I'm also a proponent of mini-fig legs, because they're plentiful, and the holes on the back of the legs also resemble suctions to an extent. Quote
Scouty Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Here was the original poster. And you're welcome Berry :-) . Quote
