Scouty Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Yes. Though, Mr.Tiber is probably doing with material lego bricks. The page, from when I last saw it, explains mostly how to do CGI stuff. Quote
Capn Kirk 911 Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 check out outside-hollywood, good stuff, plus you can DONLOAD EVERY THING you need!!! ;-) ooooooooh, ok, than the blue screen is thee way to go! ;-) Quote
Scouty Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Have I scared Mr. Tiber from brickfilming? Sorry. Is there anything being done with this project? Quote
Scouty Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Double post, errr....nothing? Yet? Anyway, for all ya'lls Look V Quote
oo7 Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Wow, what a great picture Mr. Scouts, it's very sharp and has a great layout and editing! What program do you use for your stop-motion anamation? If it's easy I might consider doing someting short, not so serious sometime. Quote
Scouty Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Stop Motion Animator. Look here for tips http://www.brickfilms.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page . I edited that poster with PhotoShop. The movie will be hopefully long, and comeing out before summer. My sets are pretty much done. Quote
oo7 Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Anasazi Stop Motion Animator? And thanks for the link, I've been to Brickfilms a bunch of times before but I never new they had a Wiki. Quote
Scouty Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Whoops. Not Anasazi. I use StopMotion Make Ples. It's a paid program though, but lets you use DV cameras. But Anasazi is a great free program I used to use and I loved it. Try starting at 12-15 fps...that's usually a good start. Quote
Norrington Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Hey, Mr.Scouts, JUdging by your new sig. Your making a new movie. And the guy in the corner, He's the figure you used for my sigfig. So technicly, I have a small part in your film because it's because of me you have that figure built. Quote
Scouty Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 But the guy in your sig has a Tri-corn, not a Bi-Corn. And I found his face best for his part. I'm debating wether I should tell you guys those Three names. Quote
Scouty Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 I used this head: for the main character, good choice? Yes? No? For the heck of it, the Imperial bi-corn hat guy is named Captain Matinet, that's only name you'll get out of me!!! The pirate is not Captain Roger, but a weird name. You'll have to find out soon :-P ! Quote
Norrington Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Mr. Tiber, I'm saying the bicorned imperial is the fig he used for my sig he just changed the hat... Quote
Scouty Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Trust me, he's not you :-P . He is not Norrington! THis just a teaser poster, not an official one. I'm deffinately thinking about changeing the poster. I'm taking a liking to having the Bi-Corn on the pirate Like Captain Matinet. I'll think about it. Quote
Norrington Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Thats like saying Johny depp isn't Jack Sparrow in a way... My sigfig is just playing actor... Quote
Scouty Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Your sigfig, is your sigfig. He is not an actor in my film. Quote
oo7 Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Whoops. Not Anasazi. I use StopMotion Make Ples. It's a paid program though, but lets you use DV cameras. But Anasazi is a great free program I used to use and I loved it. Try starting at 12-15 fps...that's usually a good start. Ah, thanks for the advice, I will consider downloading that Anasazi sometime. Trust me, he's not you :-P . He is not Norrington!THis just a teaser poster, not an official one. I'm deffinately thinking about changeing the poster. I'm taking a liking to having the Bi-Corn on the pirate Like Captain Matinet. I'll think about it. A bicorne on Redbeard? Doesn't he already have a bicorne? Are you thinking of using a solid black one? Maybe you should give that Imperial soldier Luke ( :-P ) character a cape to help cease Norrington's nagging. Quote
Norrington Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 That won't work. A cloak dosn't change who the actor is underneath; actully, I used your deseign for for Norrington, and later gave him a bicorne and cloak and he was Napoleon, Now he's Norrington again... Quote
Scouty Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 A Bi-Corn turned sideways ;-P , not with the broadside showing. Actually, a cloak sounds like a pretty good idea, I should try it. And the name's Captain Matinet silly heads :-P !! oo7, try starting walk cycles, usually that's a good start :-) . Quote
oo7 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 A Bi-Corn turned sideways ;-P , not with the broadside showing. Actually, a cloak sounds like a pretty good idea, I should try it. Oh. I like the variation, one guy wears it 'broadside', the other 'sideways'. Anyway, do I need a webcam or somtin with the live action filming or whatever? I have a digital still camera, Sony S600, can I just take a bunch a pictures like typical, upload'um to the computer, and just sting'um together with the Anasazi? :-/ Quote
Scouty Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 No. That's not how it usually works, that'll take quadroople the time :-D . For Anasazi, a USB camer is needed, but I'm not sure if it'll work with Digital Still cams. The best is a webcam. And the best webcam I know, and have, is the Quickcam 4000 Got's good quality and such. That, or get a program that will be compatable with your Sony S600, which I don't know of any. I would like a comment about the head I posted above from anybody about the use of his head because I don't want it to look wrong. Thanks :capn: . Quote
oo7 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 OK, I've been doing some research and it seems Brickfilms in general can definitely be made with digital still cameras, but looks like Anasazi needs this "Video for Windows' thing which I can only find PC related info on, no camera related info. For the specifications of the S600 Sony says: Audio/Video Outputs: N/A Is this the end of my toil? I don't really care how long it takes; I just want to be able to use this camera (I don't have a webcam). Technically speaking, I don't really see why a digital still camera would be such a problem for brickfilming, you don't even use a webcams 'real time' feature anyways! :-/ Stop motion is stinging together still pictures, so why can't I sting together still pictures?? :'-( And about your head there, I thought it was just a normal smile with eyebrows.....but it is an interesting choice, but I think it could work. I really don't see why one would worry or even bother, as you can Quote
Scouty Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 He probably will take the shako off. The problem with self stringing pictures is that, in an editing software, that I'm aware of, you have to self size down each picture to a really small clip. I would find it difficult and really hard to do it by its self. The good thing about Anasazi and other Stop motion programs is that they already string them together, making it easier and faster to edit. Webcams can be used for live animation as well, but usually, nobody uses that feature in their movie. Webcams are also basically for other stuff besides brickfilming. Anyway, I'm really sorry if I'm making it sound really difficult thing to do. It is hard to do, but it is doable and is much fun. EDIT: Captain Matinet got the Cloak: Quote
Norrington Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Change Captain Manitnet's arms to Black an I say he looks ready to go... Though i'd say if you had a blue cape that would look better as a 'Navy issue Overcoat'. Just saying. Quote
Scouty Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I'm considering changes in Captain Matinet. I think I want a decaled cloak, brown or black arms I will try out! Quote
