vagrant Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 (edited) Final round of voting for "In a galaxy far, far away..." contest has been started. Dear LEGO fans, please support the competitors with the comments and vote for the works of your choice. "In a galaxy far, far away..." is a regional contest for the russian speaking users. Contest objective is Build any space vessel or a group of space vessels (only fully complete vessels are allowed, no part entries, such as part of the station, etc.). It could be space station, model of real spacecraft or some imaginary vessel that could operate in our universe. No scale restriction (minifigure scale, mini scale, or any other). You could see and comment all works here. There is a special form to help you vote for best LEGO works : Voting form. MOC authors would like to hear your opinion about their works. -zenn Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 (edited) Voting form doesn't work, maybe cause I'm not a member. Anyway, Prometheus MOC FTW! It's spot on! Edited June 3, 2012 by -zenn Quote
tkf Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Voting form doesn't work, maybe cause I'm not a member. Yeah, voting want be enabled before either registering or logging in. Of course you could use things like FB, Twitter, Openid to make this process easier. :) Anyway what is the Prometheus you are talking about. There are two works called Prometheus. (although i like them both :) ) Quote
Si-MOCs Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Wow some increadible builds. I can certainly sign up to vote... vagrant - would it be appropriate for me to actually comment on the builds? I don't speak russian I could google translate comments I guess? tfk - I think zenn means the white/yellow one - it's based off the ship from the new Promethus movie. (Though I like the other promethus more... ) Quote

tkf Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Both Prometheus models make great use of light. and Prometheus from movies is a great model imo, but i think because of film release it will get more votes. If there was no movie i think second Prometheus would get more votes. But it is off course my opinion. May be the reason why i like non movie version is that i was a fan of Tsiolkovsky's ideas in the childhood ;) TIE-Fighter using only technic parts is a great idea imo. Minifigure scale trident prime has great functionality. Star Wars Corvette will definitely get attention from SW fans. Some strange space ship is a kind of dark horse. So nobody knows who will win. Only the great works came to the final. And some good works haven't made it to the final. Micro-scale and LDD formats are not popular according to the voters. :( Quote
