Si-MOCs Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 The BAT-Rotor is the ideal choice for tight urban pacification missions. Larger, but slower than the BAT-Wing, faster than the Bat-chopper, the BAT-Rotor is Batman's most heavily armoured aircraft and allows Batman to infiltrate and exfiltrate with ease. Armed with Rubber Bullets (I swear), Bat-Gas and Bat-Nets the BAT-Rotor acts as a weapons platform either to punch a hole in heavy resistance or to back up Batman in autonomous flight mode. Built for FBTB Wings of Justice contest. The Tilt Rotors rotates roughly 60 degrees. 15 back, 45 forward. Quote
Solscud007 Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Very cool. Although the line about tight urban pacification seems erroneous. You say it is smaller than the batwing but to be honest that thing looks huge. I don't see that fitting down narrow alley ways other than sideways. But other than that, sweet build! Quote
halomaster96 Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 That is honestly an amazing Batman vehicle! When the Joker sees this he's going to crap his pants! Quote
vriverajr3 Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 pretty dope man. has that cool cartoony look to it. i like it Quote
Darkdragon Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Very impressive model. Coloring and shape are perfect! Quote
Ceroknight Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 It looks fantastic! Is that really smaller than the Batwing? Good luck on the contest! Quote
Vindicare Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 (edited) Very cool. Although the line about tight urban pacification seems erroneous. You say it is smaller than the batwing but to be honest that thing looks huge. I don't see that fitting down narrow alley ways other than sideways. But other than that, sweet build! It certainly doesn't look smaller than the newest Batwing. That doesn't take anything away from this Bat Rotor, it's killer! I love that you kept with the theme of the Batwing that it mimics his insignia. I love the colors used and the placement. The splash of yellow is perfect to the blue/grey Batman. The shape is awesome, the cockpit/fuselage, the wings, all great. Edited June 2, 2012 by Legocrazy81 Quote
The Penguin Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 (edited) Amazing! Simply stunning work! ) That's the vehicle to rule Gotham skies! Great choice of colours as well as their placing. The model looks very slim and the current bat-wing looks like a flimsy bi-plane next to this beauty! I wouldn't wish to encounter that one on my blimp! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Edited June 2, 2012 by The Penguin Quote
Takua Nui Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 (edited) That is simply amazing. It looks a lot more armored (and armed!) than the Batwing, and the design is really neat. I like how its in the shape of the Bat-symbol. The criminals of Gotham are going to piss their pants when this baby shows up! But was there really a need to put two Batmen in there? lightningtiger Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 'Si-MOCs' this is one bad-megablocks Bat machine - I it.....it would have to impress the Joker, depends if he sees anything funny in it. This is worth a front paging in my opinion.... Quote
JackJonespaw Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 This is great! I love the overall shaping and coloring of this! I can see this flying around Gotham chasing The Joker. Nice job! Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 That is extremly cool! Realy love the shape of rotors and the cannons! Quote
Si-MOCs Posted June 2, 2012 Author Posted June 2, 2012 Thanks all for the great comments! Oh and I have something planned for Joker too... just you watch! Takua Nui - heh. The other batman is a hologram. To fool criminals, apparently it worked! And it had nothing to do with I was too lazy to disassemble the cockpit to take the other batman out, even though he has the right coloured bat-logo. Very cool. Although the line about tight urban pacification seems erroneous. You say it is smaller than the batwing but to be honest that thing looks huge. I don't see that fitting down narrow alley ways other than sideways. It certainly doesn't look smaller than the newest Batwing. Okay you guys caught me... this is actually really big. Though when I was describing the it as larger than Batwing- I was thinking Burton movies - not the latest LEGO line. But now that I think about it ... You guys are all right. This is bigger than the other Batwings... (Be it LEGO or otherwise) (though in my defense, I didn't say you had to fly through alleys... and you could always fly through sideways) I will edit post to reflect on your excellent points! Quote

htbomb Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Awesome build. I especially like that it's developed around the classic blue/grey Batman instead of black. Thanks for sharing. Quote
BrathAttack Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 That is freaking AWESOME!!! Looks like it could be an actual Batman set! Great job!!! Quote
Si-MOCs Posted June 11, 2012 Author Posted June 11, 2012 Thanks for all the comments everyone! I actually got into Round 2 of voting Everyone should go check out the final five: http://www.fbtb.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=7828 I especially like that it's developed around the classic blue/grey Batman instead of black. Thanks! I really wanted to do a classic-retro build... Everyone keeps building everything black! Thankfully I was able to scrounge enough dark blue Quote
WetWired Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Great job, I usually don't like stuff like this that isn't directly copying a vehicle from the movies or comics but I've got to hand it to you, it's an excellent design Quote
Vindicare Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Congrats on making it to the next round! You're a shoe in to win now, I'd say. Quote
