SheepEater Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 (edited) - Saruman - Elrond - old Bilbo - Arwen - Eowyn - Galadriel - Celeborn - Faramir - Wormtongue - Gamling (Theoden's lieutenant) - Sharku (Warg rider Orc leader) - Denethor - Gondorian soldier - Gothmog (The deformed Orc general from Return of the King) - King of the dead... along with: - Ghostly soldier - Haradrim human fighting for Sauron (barbarian) - Mouth of Sauron - Mordor troll (the ones attacking Minas Tirith, and defending the Black Gate) - Rosie Cotton - Generic Elf Archer **** the following are variations of existing Lego LOTR characters. I'll leave it to you folks if they should or shouldn't be a part of the poll: ***** - Gandalf the White - Witch King of Angmar, decked in full armor and with morning star - Aragorn, King of Gondor, with Anduril - possessed & frail Theoden I wanna make a poll, but I don't have the privileges. Hopefully a mod can convert this into a poll. Thanks Let's stick to the characters from the movie; as much as I do like Glorfindel, Tom Bombadil and Radagast the Brown, we all know there's no way Lego will ever make them into minifigs. I think large characters like the Balrog and Treebeard should be brick built, so they aren't an option for a minifig. I think IF Lego do make a Balrog, there's almost 99% chance it will be brick built, since that's the way it appears in the Lego LOTR video game trailer. Edited June 1, 2012 by SheepEater Quote

Iron-Man Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I say Gandalf the White and Aragorn King of Gondor are two of my biggest wishes, simply because I feel like the versions now aren't the greatest and can use some upgrades! Quote
deskp Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 -Easterling ( I really dig the designs for them, they are only featured in one scene, but they are present at the siege of minas tirith aswell if you look closely!) -The Witch king @sheepeater: Radagast will be in The Hobbit so they could do a minifig of him eventualy. Haltiamieli Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Arwen, Éowyn and Galadriel, because the first wave was sadly devoid of female characters. Also I'm very much hoping to see Tauriel in The Hobbit wave, even if I'm somewhat prejudiced against her when it comes to the movie itself. A knight from Dol Amroth or Prince Imrahil himself would be awesome, but as they were not really included in the movies I don't see those as a possibility. Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I have a long list of LOTR minifigs, so I put them in categories: Really Want and Want. Really Want: - Saruman - Eowyn - Arwen - Elrond - Galadriel - Sauron - Witch-King of Angmar - Denethor - Faramir - Ulog-hai - Grima Wormtongue - More soldiers (Uruk-hai, Riders of Rohan, Gondor soldiers, Mordor Orcs, Moria Orcs, Ghost Soldiers, Haradrim, etc.) Want: - Bilbo Baggins - Theoden (old) - The other Ringwraiths - Rosie Cotton - Hobbits, civilians Quote
King of Nynrah Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Saruman and Gandalf the White are at the top of my list. Others which would be useful, but not as important, are the Witch-king, Faramir, Arwen, Elrond, Galadriel and Eowyn. Quote
Faefrost Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 - King of the dead... along with: - Ghostly soldier Oh! I just had the mental image of them doing these using that new glow in the dark plastic and printing they have been using for Monster Hunters. Do the figs mainly white with printing (the soldiers will mainly be variants on the classic skellie), they they glow in that prefect green! :oh: Quote

Jakon Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 I want all of the above obviously, but I would love to have a promo fig of Peter Jackson's cameo character at Helms Deep. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 I would really love to see Arwen and Elrond. Wormtounge, Eowyn, and The Witch King I would also like to see. Quote
Fives Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 I obviously want to see all of these characters made as Minifigs, but I think that I really want Faramir, Éowyn (Dernhelm disguise), Gothmog, The Mouth of Sauron, and the Witch-King in armour. I have a feeling that Gandalf the White and Saruman will have to be made. Gandalf spends the most time in the trilogy as the White wizard. And Saruman is one of the main villains, and he will be appearing in the Hobbit, so TLG may make him sooner than later. But I hope they don't make Saruman in the Hobbit sets, so we can get an Orthanc. Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 The only minifig I really want is Bilbo Baggins. Quote

Venunder Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 (edited) Well I want to see Glorfindel. The elf who never was, if you follow the film:.... He sets Frodo on his horse, Asfaloth, and Frodo rides ahead to the other side of the Ford of Bruinen, where he defies his pursuers. He is nearly captured, but Glorfindel, Strider and Frodo's hobbit companions come from behind and drive the Nazgûl into the water, where they are swept away by a wave of water resembling charging horses (an enchantment of Elrond's and Gandalf's). Strider and the hobbits bear torches, but Glorfindel reveals himself as a mighty Elf-lord terrible in his wrath; Frodo sees him as a shining figure.[7] I would like to see him on a light brick base so that we can light him up in his wrath. and to be a bit more geeky: Later, when Frodo asks about the safety of Imladris from Sauron's forces, Gandalf explains: In Rivendell there live still some of his chief foes: the Elven-wise, lords of the Eldar from beyond the furthest seas. They do not fear the Ringwraiths, for those who have dwelt in the Blessed Realm live at once in both worlds, and against both the Seen and the Unseen they have great power.[8] Gandalf points to Glorfindel as one of these, saying he is "one of the mighty of the Firstborn," "an Elf-lord of a house of princes." While enjoying the hospitality of the Elves, Frodo finds that his Wizard friend spoke true: Frodo looked at them in wonder, for he had never before seen Elrond, of whom so many tales spoke; and as they sat upon his right hand and his left, Glorfindel, and even Gandalf, whom he thought he knew so well, were revealed as lords of dignity and power... Glorfindel was tall and straight; his hair was of shining gold, his face fair and young and fearless and full of joy; his eyes were bright and keen, and his voice like music; on his brow sat wisdom, and in his hand was strength.[8] Edited June 3, 2012 by Venunder Quote
SheepEater Posted June 3, 2012 Author Posted June 3, 2012 (edited) Larger figures: Battle Cave Troll, Sauron, Treebeard Treebeard should be BRICK built. Rohan peasants Good call. Nobody mentioned peasants thus far, and they ARE a big part of the films. Although, for people who don't mind the yellow heads, the generic Lego Castle peasants should work just as well. SirBlake Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 I'm really just looking forward to well done Gondorian soldiers. A new pointy helmet, the white tree printed on the armor and a new shield mold would be fantastic, though that last part is probably not a realistic expectation. Quote

A new pointy helmet, the white tree printed on the armor and a new shield mold would be fantastic, though that last part is probably not a realistic expectation. For the shield, they can use the Roman Soldier's shield from series 6. As for my desired mini-figures, I would want Eowyn, Saruman, and The Witch King the most. Quote
