Kadabra Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 So, the Kane Chronicles. Love, like, hate? The Serpent's Shadow just came out, and I won't spoil it for you guys, but Thoth is a GFOL - God Fan of LEGO. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I have read the first two and loved them! Is Serpents Shadow good? As a series I prefer Percy Jackson, but it is still good. Quote
Kadabra Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 I have read the first two and loved them! Is Serpents Shadow good? As a series I prefer Percy Jackson, but it is still good. It's excellent - both hilarious and action-packed, and it seems to foreshadow a tie in with PJ/HoO soon, raqther than simply being in the same canon as the Red Pyramid did. Quote
Masked Builder Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I love them, really enjoying the Egypt theme. Have either of you started on the lost hero series? Quote
Omega X Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 The Serpent's Shadow is brilliant! So is the series! I Hope Lego would release a theme based on that. My favorite god is Thoth. What is yours? Omega X P.S. I would like a better serpent when the theme comes out Quote
Masked Builder Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 P.S. I would like a better serpent when the theme comes out Theme? What theme? Quote
piemaster1446 Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I read all of Riordan's books and I loved this series! My favorite god is BES!!!!! I hope Lego makes a theme it would be perfect Quote

Omega X Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 (edited) Theme? What theme? Oh sorry. I mean if Lego actually releases the theme, I would really like a better serpent. Having the good points of the PQ snake and also the Great Devourer. Sorry for the confusion. Edit: And none of the bad things please! Omega X Edited June 2, 2012 by Omega X Quote
Masked Builder Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 I finished the book earlier this week, he did a pretty good job. I was surprised that it was the last one, but he left it open for more books. Quote
turtleman2020 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Kane Chronicles is probably my favorite series. I think the next book they are going to fight against the greek gods and camp halfblood because they do mention "other gods." Quote

turtleman2020 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 I doubt it. Have you started his Heroes of Olympus series? No I haven't read Heroes of Olympus, but in the Red Pyramid they mentioned other gods in NYC and in the Serpents Shadow Sadie's mom said something about other gods and trouble and since Set was already a villain in one book I think the Greeks will be the villain in the next book. You should. I don't want to give away too much, but he's got a good conflict going on. I wouldn't expect to see that story line, more like a fun hint at his other books. Quote
Percabeth Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I doubt it. Have you started his Heroes of Olympus series? One does not simply read Heroes of Olympus, without reading Percy Jackson But no I haven't had a chance to read Kane, as I'm waiting for the announcement of the Cross-over series. And yes, Rick said there will be one, just not for quite a while. He's still finishing HoO, and then his new Norse mythology series Quote
Masked Builder Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Ah, I know very little about what he's working on, but I love his work. Quote
