karl1 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 I bought 5 cases of collectible minifigs that were described as damaged boxes but complete. I just opened the 60 packs in my fourth box and there was no evil knights, not even one! Is that possible or did someone pick it? Quote
Big Cam Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Everyone I've ever talked to that bought a sealed case has always gotten every fig. I'd say it was picked through, and the damaged box description was an excuse. Quote
Rook Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Agreed damage often equals tampered. Never pay more than 80% of the retail on damaged goods. I’ve seen tiny holes in boxes just big enough to remove a few pieces, minifigures, or a single small baggy. And given the right person under the right circumstances you pay for a USC DS and end up with a box of PaB. Quote
Combee Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Make sure the box is series 7 But in all seriousness, can you contact Lego and get them replaced? How many normally come in a box? Quote

MsRowdyRedhead Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 How disappointing! If it was a retail store, there may be a return option. If it was eBay you might try an "item not as described" complaint. Other than that, I am sorry to hear of your experience. Quote
Combee Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Were the missing minifigs replaced with extra versions of the other ones or was the box simply missing some? Quote
adventuresinlego Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 This is the one thing that shits me (sorry if we're not allowed to swear, please don't ban me) about the CMF's, people (pigs) at the shops who open up packets to try to find the one they want. One time I saw 6 packets opened, it's rude, it's piggish and it's brat behaviour. If I catch them doing it I don't knwo fi I'd be brave enough to stand up to them haha :S but it's a shame, it takes the fun out of the game sorry this happened, that must've cost heaps! Quote

No, LEGO will replace missing stuff from sets bought at other places than their stores/site. However, from what I've heard, they won't give the specific figures that are missing, but regular bags which may or may not contain the missing figures. Also they might not do it at all since it was marked as damaged. Quote
karl1 Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 Were the missing minifigs replaced with extra versions of the other ones or was the box simply missing some? it seems there were way too many bag pipers but yes the case had 60. I got the cases cheap enough that i will recoup all my money back and keep the evil knights that i did get for free, and i still profit around 100 dollars even though im selling them dirt cheap. I bought 5 cases for 475 dollars and i have made back 400 so far while I still have 150 figs left. Im only upset because the only reason i did this was because the only figs i wanted were the evil knights. I got 19 total out of the other four cases. Quote

I'm sure it was picked through, and replaced with others, but if you want confirmation, you should look at the end of WhiteFang's review of Series 7, and from there you can see the most common rundown of the box.
