Since I bought this set for Leia alone, I decided to make a few changes, but limited myself to only using additional parts from the older Y-Wing (2007) in case anyone else wanted to try it.

After MOD:

-Shortened yellow strip on the front so it doesn't touch the nose nor go down the side.

-Widened the droid compartment so the droid faces frontward.

-Added more piping

-Removed top loading bomb compartment

-Decreased engine size

-Removed flick fires

After MOD:

-Decreased width of connection to engines.

-Connection to engines is now on the upper part of the engine instead of the middle.

Bombs are loaded and dropped by hinged black flap.

More accurate in some parts, less in others (namely the width of the piper areas). Opinions?

-Removed flick fires

What.. Why.. How could you .

I do think the neck section is a bit too wide now, by about a tile or two each side.

Also shouldn't the turret be locked in the forward position?

It looks fine but I think the problem with your engines is that the far end bends due to gravity since it does not hold on the center and the neck is too thick, still looks fine

I've been considering doing something like this myself lately and found this excellent piece of reference. For the most part I really like what you've done, but the 'neck' area is way too thick. Is there any way you could limit that area to just one plate either side of the droid with a little but of greeble added to the sides?
