Flea Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 (edited) Hello! Ok, little history backup about this creation. First it all started me puting the idea in LDD. The result can be seen under this link: http://s15.postimage.org/pv4y08y3v/LDDScreen_Shot1.jpg After that I made some BL purchases and started building the real creation. I must say I spent quite of amount on this MOC, and I really hope it's good. At least, I hope it will inspire someone to make something similar, because I didn't find many creations on this topic. Oh yeah, and just to fill in the blank I've put some evil and good dwarfs on the bridge If you do like this creation, please like it on MOC pages. Thank you! http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/324671 Now when you saw both versions, which one do you like more? LDD or the real one? Edited May 21, 2012 by Flea Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Very nice bridge! The only thing that could use a little work would be the water, and maybe some banks to the river as well. The dark grey accents look great The plants growing on the pillars are also a nice touch. Excellent work Quote
Flea Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 The only thing that could use a little work would be the water, and maybe some banks to the river as well. yeah, I know water can not even be consider as moc or anything. the base plates are used just because i don't have enough blue bricks to even start the river creation... it would be very cool if I could make a whole canyon, but... thanks for the comments! Gafol Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Very good work! I like more the real one, in particular because of the strange position of the tower. But i like the "cleaner" work in the LDD. I would like to see the bridge with light grey rhomb elements in place of dark grey and without bricks linked to the archs. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 This is very nice! I would straighten out those 1x1 tiles to all be even with each other, but aside from that, it looks great! Quote
Magma Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 thanks for the comments :) I like it, although I think the sides are a bit high - they hide the dwarves! Quote
LauraC Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 I like it, especially the plants growing up the stonework, and the use of the lion head decoration on the side of the bridge! Quote
Flea Posted June 17, 2012 Author Posted June 17, 2012 thanks! although I think the whole impression would be better if it was an active scene, not just the building Quote
AwesomeStar Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Love the stonework and architectural details, just the right amount of 'flair' without being overbearing. Also the foliage adds character to the creation wonderfully. Fantastic job, looking forward to seeing more from you ~A.S. Quote
lego_legis_legere Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Well done ! You made a very well-designed M.O.C., I really like your bridge, especially the detailed stones. According to my opinion, more a M.O.C. is colourful, more it looks realistic : the mix of medium stone gray, drak stone gray and dark green is beautifull, can you add more reddish brown and brick yeallow ? Indeed, it will look better with sand and more plants (such as reeds). Good job ! Quote
