Vindice Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Hi everyone, my 5 year old son pestered me into buying him his first ever LEGO action figure the other day. We bought the Hulk from the new superheroes line. My brother also recently gave him a rock monster from the power miners range. I have to admit, now that i've assembled a couple I'm really hooked!! I would like to try and create some sentinels from the x-men comics for a MOC/animtation I'm planning and was wondering if anyone has any ideas. Ideally I'd like them to be at least 12 inches high. Are there any Bionicle or Hero factory figures which could provide a basic structure or template for me to build on? I'd like to try and keep to the proper colour scheme if possible and use dark red and probably dark blue bricks, however I'm not sure if this will be possible. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Wow...you certainly like a challenge. Well, currently it's hard to think of much, though I can help a bit with a few disjointed ideas. If you want size, Witch Doctor gives a good frame with some modifications. As for the hands, you may want to look up a set like Axxon (if not, just look up instructions on how to build the hands. I can get a picture if you want). Regarding colour, there aren't many dark red Hero Factory pieces. It does however have it's fair share of purple. If you can wait a few months, there's a set called Voltix with some purple pieces that may suit him, though for a figure of your Sentinel's size, I'd recommend using Pick-a-Brick for the purple torsos. Joker also has some purple. Thats about as much as I can help with, I dunno how you'd build the face. Good luck, and I hope to see the product when it's finished! MakutaDreadscythe Quote
Vindice Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 Brilliant, thank you for the input. I'm not too familiar yet with Hero Factory and Bionicle but I did see Witch Doctor and thought the size would be ideal. Some really good advice in there, thanks. Quote
