Konajra Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 (edited) Hello all, Since I could not continue my other ship because the lug bulk has not yet arrived, I decided to order the remaining bricks to build my other Ldraw file. the dutch steam tug "Maarten" stoomsleper maarten by Konajra, on Flickr I already had a lot of black for the hull because I took my P&H front shovel apart. The rest of the bricks I needed, I ordered on bricklink. Unfortunately one order got stuck in the mail, so I wasn't able to finish it. this is the state of the "maarten" at the moment. stoomsleper Maarten WIP (1) by Konajra, on Flickr stoomsleper Maarten WIP (2) by Konajra, on Flickr Hopefully the missing order arrives somewhere next week, so that I can finish this litle tug. Edited May 21, 2012 by Phred Utilized smaller flickr images. -Phred Quote

L@go Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Great. looking forward to meet you. I assume it is going to be denmark? Indeed. My first Lego convention, I don't quite know what to expect. Looking forward to meeting you, too, and seeing those amazing ships! On topic: Do you expect to get back to the Consul Pust soon? Quote
Konajra Posted May 20, 2012 Author Posted May 20, 2012 It's going to be my second. Last year I was 4 days at Legoworld Zwolle, The Netherlands. I don't know exactly when I can continue with the Consul Pust. I hope that the Lugbulk order arrives somewhere in june/ july. Then I'll be able to finish that trawler. I hope it is finished before the end of september. Why do you ask? Can't wait for it to be finished? Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Beautiful so far 'Konajra', fantastic as usual....I can't wait to see it finished (though it looks it ). Brick On 'Konajra' ! Quote
JopieK Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 That is quite some steamship! Really great. You could use it of course to get sinterklaas ashore in November ;) Very nice details! You should also expose it on steam days next summer holidays (Zwolle / Hasselt region). Quote
L@go Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Why do you ask? Can't wait for it to be finished? Yeah. I hope you get it done before Skærbæk! :) Quote
Capn Frank Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Konajra, I have utilized a smaller image size from your Flickr. Posted images are not allowed to be over 800x600 per member guidlines, and rarely need to be over 600x450. Quote
Konajra Posted May 25, 2012 Author Posted May 25, 2012 @ Phred: I'll keep it in mind. I manage to finish the steamtug today. Pretty happy with how it turned out. It is much smaller than my other ships but never the less it was a nice model to build. here are some photos: stoomsleper Maarten by Konajra, on Flickr stoomsleper Maarten by Konajra, on Flickr stoomsleper Maarten by Konajra, on Flickr more on my flickr photostream. Hope you like it too. Quote
L-space Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Looking lovely. The wheelhouse looks great now it's finished. Quote
L@go Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Smaller than your other ships - but that says more about your other ships than it does about this. I wouldn't exactly call this a mini MOC :) and, of course, it's just as good-looking as all your other ships. Looking forward to Skærbæk :) Quote
Laura Beinbrech Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 As a salty old sea dog (ex-Navy), I always like to see more contemporary ships, and you definitely rise to the occasion, so as we say in the US Navy (and other NATO Navies): "Bravo Zulu on a job well done." ...although I would like to second the request for some interior shots/ cutaway views (even if they're just in LDD). Konajra Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 Thanks guys, I have been working on my steam trawler again. So I think I'll have that one finished before Skærbæk. Quote
