I know that several members of this Eurobricks forum are attending the BrickMagic convention (May 19-20, 2012 in Raleigh, North Carolina USA). I'm hoping that they will add to this topic when they get back. By looking at various Flickr photosets, I found these preliminary images:

Brickapolis' picture of dhc6twinotter at The Lego Store (with a big grin on his face): :sweet:

And what that picture of me doesn't show is that I have a LEGO set in my hand.

If I had known this picture was going to be posted for the whole world to see, I wouldn't have purposely put that cheesy grin on my face. Oh well.

Sweet! I happened to bump into a AFOL that specializes in Bionicle at a Lego Store in the Arrowhead mall in Phoenix, Arizona! It was our first encounters with other AFOLS and we were both super happy to meet!:head_back::excited::laugh: I also saw Dave Shaddix's (leader of AZLUG)'s Lego Portrait on display

Agree... Is was a real pleasure meeting Tim... It's really an awesome experience to meet guys in person that you have previously talked to on the forum... I'm looking forward to hopefully meeting some more guys at Brickfair this year...

Yes... A friend sent me that link yesterday... Very humbling to see articles like this written that come from outside of the Lego community...

As photographed on Bob Hayes' Flickr photoset, Technic AFOLs will appreciate this Lego Bascule Train Bridge (with its Flickr video of it opening and closing). It was displayed at BrickMagic 2012, but was also seen at past Lego conventions. Here is an older image of the same bridge:
