Pietsmurf Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 (edited) V-LV-26E Hey everyone, this is my mail cart. It is not something special and there are no special things. Everyone can make it! Photos Edited May 21, 2012 by Phred Removed attached photo and re-posted photos. -Phred Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Interesting cart 'Pietsmurf, that's one big mail carrier on the front and are those wheels glued onto those white taps....I guess there would be no other way of doing it. An original idea anyway, Birck On 'Pietsmurf' ! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Interesting indeed! Great job, good out of the box thinking! Quote

An original idea anyway, Birck On 'Pietsmurf' ! I think they're just pushed on. Like the little hole on the tap piece is the same size as the hole on the bicycles that the wheels go into. I'm assuming...could be glued too, I guess we'll find out. Either way, that's a clever little cart and nice use of those pieces to make the wheel assembly there. Quote
helikopteros Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 The cart is definitely cute - but I'm finding myself preoccupied with those chained dogs. What's going on there? Is there a bomb in the mail cart? A kilo of C? Provocative choice, well done. Quote

I think that's a play on of mailmen having to deal with angry dogs of the houses that they have to deliver mail to, having to deliver the mail to the house without being bit by an angry dog. Quote
gotoAndLego Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 (edited) This is a good design for a general street concessions stand. Attach an umbrella and it could easily be someone selling frozen treats or delivering pizza. It would also be a good basis for a pedicab. Edited May 21, 2012 by gotoAndLego Quote
Capn Frank Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Taps are always handy ;) You mean old taps. Pietsmurf, You should get a free photo upload account at flickr or picasaweb, instead of attaching the images to your post. You don't have a lot of room on your EB account to do this for very long. I've removed your attached images and posted the images from C-T's photo account. Here is a link to the Index of Tutorials thread incase you have questions about using a photo upload site and posting images. Quote

Gioppa Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Excellent...I remember my granfather drive one of that tri-cyclos,he was the man for cleaning the road! Quote
Modulex Guy Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 If anyone is still wondering about the taps and the wheels, you can press in the wheel into the old taps with the hole WITHOUT glue. I have done this before on a similar bike that I have built too. Good technique! Quote
Pietsmurf Posted May 25, 2012 Author Posted May 25, 2012 (edited) hey everyone thanx and you don't have to use it for mail. You can use it for eveything! Actully it was the idea to make a hotdog stand! :sweet: Edited May 26, 2012 by Pietsmurf Quote
