Orange Leader Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 The witch took her pointy hat and cloak off, made a fire and filled the cauldron with slime that is unknown for the common folk. What she is brewing, It's all up to your imagination. The brewing witch by Orange Leader, on Flickr The brewing witch by Orange Leader, on Flickr The brewing witch by Orange Leader, on Flickr Quote
beelzibus Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Nice to see a witch without a pointy hat, a nice touch. Tell me what are the parts you've used under the cauldron? The speckled black/silver bits, I can't place them? Nice little Vig. Quote
Cara Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 At first I thought what is that marbled thing, then I realised it looked like one of the big wheels. I like the arrow slit window feel too. Quote
Hive Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Lovely vignette - in spite of the witch being a fleshie. Quote
TAFOL Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Tell me what are the parts you've used under the cauldron? The speckled black/silver bits, I can't place them? It's this viking wagon wheel. Great vignette, by the way. I especially like the use of medium nougat and 'brick'-bricks in the walls. But I also like the windows and the 'snotted' door. Quote
K-Nut Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Nice use of the Viking wheel there! Nice little vig. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Lots of nice details Thought I think she will need a taller ladder to be able to reach her high shelves The pointed window really adds to the atmostphere Quote
LauraC Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Definitely want to know what she's cooking up, hoping for a sequel MOC to find out! Love the detail with the little bundle of wood and the skull on the shelf, if looks like it's in a jar, curious how you did that! Looks great! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) Very nice use of the wheel. I thought always of it as an useless wheel, but this works great! Edited May 19, 2012 by Ecclesiastes Quote
de Gothia Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Very nice use of the wheel. I thought always of it as an useless wheel, but this works great! Have to agree here! That wheel is at the bottom of my lego bins! Love all the details you managed to put in at that small area! Quote
LEGO Family Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Awesome vignette. I love how the ladder seems to levitate a bit over the cauldron. (Wether its on purpose or not ). ;) Great build. :) Quote
Orange Leader Posted May 19, 2012 Author Posted May 19, 2012 Thanks everyone for your comments. Lots of nice details Thought I think she will need a taller ladder to be able to reach her high shelves She can always reach them with her spoon, adding barrels as a step or levitation magic. Love the detail with the little bundle of wood and the skull on the shelf, if looks like it's in a jar, curious how you did that! Looks great! The bundle of wood is stringed together with an official LEGO elastic. The skull is indeed in a dome shaped jar. Very nice use of the wheel. I thought always of it as an useless wheel, but this works great! I love to fiddle around with unusual parts, in the end they're not as useless as we MOCers sometimes might think. Awesome vignette. I love how the ladder seems to levitate a bit over the cauldron. (Wether its on purpose or not ). ;) The ladder levitates not on purpose, It was not easy to keep it on the ground without falling off.
